Ismail Butera, musician, storyteller, and author with an interest in the mythologies and legendary personalities of the past. Here for our Series on Forgotten Cultures & Histories. today we are discussing Manichaeism, the world’s original universal faith.
Once a faith that was practised literally from the Pacific to the Atlantic Ocean from the third century AD to the Middle Ages, perhaps no religion was so oppressed, harassed and continually stamped out over the centuries like the religion of Mani was. Yet despite the extermination of this faith, it actually influenced any of the ideologies that oppressed it.
