NOTE: I researched all Census and Surveys such as International Crisis Group, Pew Research Center, CIA World Factbook, Gallup Poll and the most recently Surveys World Value Survey & GAMAAN (That was held for those Iranian’s who are outside Iran) Most of the Surveys along with Census shows Iran is Muslim majority with 95+%. However minorities growing fast.

Religion in Iran (Islamic Republic of Iran) is characterized by a diversity of religious beliefs and practices. Iran (Islamic Republic of Iran) has centres of worship for multitude of hundreds faiths. Iran (Islamic Republic of Iran) has Islam as the State religion. It has about (98.68%) Believer population which is extremely high. According to the Census 2022 AD. Islam is the largest religion in the Iran (Islamic Republic of Iran) with (97.16%). The Second largest religion is Christianity with (0.56%) that forms various Roman Catholic Churches (Catholicism) and Protestantism that is overall total with many others minorities Eastern Orthodox Christianity , Mormonism and others etc. On Third and Forth are Bahaism with (0.39%) , Yarsanism with (0.28%). But there is also a number of those Iranians are those who belongs to No Religion Affiliations/Category ( which includes Atheistism, Agnosticism, Non-theism, Secular humanism along with No Response) with (1.32%), but growing fast with population. Others remaining (0.29%) includes Mandaeism, Hinduism, Zoroastrianism & many others etc. The Iran (Islamic Republic of Iran) will remain Muslim majority (Muslim Nation) for following years regardless percentage population of Other religions (Especially Irreligion (No Religion) & Christianity) growing fast. The Iran (Islamic Republic of Iran) government recognizes Islam as State Religion. The Iran (Islamic Republic of Iran) is Muslim.Christianity is a fast growing religious group among Iranians along with No Religion (Irreligion) category. The first known religious traditions in Iran traditions developed over time into Zoroastrianism.
Iran (Islamic Republic of Iran) has Non-Muslim population (1.52%) which is religious affiliated to other religions which is extremely low/less as compared to total population.
Manichaeism was a major religion founded by the Iranian prophet Mani (Middle Persian Mānī, New Persian: مانی Mānī, Syriac Mānī, Greek Μάνης, c. 216–274 AD) in the Sasanian Empire but is extinct since many centuries. It originated in third century Mesopotamia and spread rapidly throughout North Africa to Central Asia during the next several centuries.
Mani was a Babylonian prophet born in 216 C.E. near the city of Ctesiphon. Not long after his birth, Mani’s father, Pattikios, heard a voice commanding him to join a communitarian sect that resided in the marshes south of the city and so he abandoned his former life and took his son with him. Mani grew up in the sect and occasionally experienced “revelations” meditated through an angelic figure.
Zoroastrians in Iran have had a long history reaching back thousands of years, and are the oldest religious community of Iran that has survived to the present day.
