John did not know that Mary was a hunter until a certain point, but then he forgot. In the episode where Sam and Dean were in the 70s, this was mentioned. Episode with Anna. And after her dying Archangel Michael erased Mary and John's memory of Sam and Dean and everything. It's strange, isn't it?

Watching the trailer I'm already confused I'm a huge supernatural fan first series that got me addicted i series so didn't John find out the truth after Mary died when Missouri told him the truth coz Mary never wanted this life so John was the one thing that made her believe she could have a normal life and a normal family thats why she protected him from the truth anyway I will wait for the first episode and see

I am not very sure about that, it messed so much with the lore we know from the original Series like John stars hunting after Marys death and so on … the other thing i dont like, is the actors i am sure they are awsome personalitys in real life but for me Matt Cohen and Amy Gumenick are the only one to play young John and Mary … i just wish the CW would have given Waywad Sisters a try, with some flashback scenes with Sam, Dean and Cas or with Jack as a conection to them. There where so much possibilitiys and we would have had charactes we already know with their own personalitys to drive deeper in and give them time and Action to devolp and grow … and sorry for the bad englisch 😅🙈

I agree with all the comments (John didn't know about the supernatural after Mary died) so I'm not entirely convinced. Why didn't they make a sequel with Sam's son and somehow he meets up with Ben (Dean's "son") and they take on the world together? That way they could've involved the women as well
