The African Religious Debate. Has Religion been Good for Africans at home & Abroad?
Africa is now on record as the continent with the fastest growing religious fervour from Christianity to Islam but why is the continent still so poor? We ask the perennial question;is God Black or white? Even when they leave Africa, religion still plays a vital role in the lives of Africans abroad as they struggle to get familaiar with a new culture and societal norms As part of our National Lottery Heritage Fund project “The History & Growth of African Pentecostal churches across Merseyside, we brought together some notable Africans to debate some of these issues. In this the first of two debates, Pastors Philip Oyewale, Dami Abraham, Joseph Oyewale, Gilbert Mfobin and Walter Ngwa talk about African Pentecostalism and the role it pplays in the lives of Africans on the continent and abroad.
