Background
In Africa, most people engage in somewhat a religious activity from time to time. Despite its neglect in the development discourse, religion plays a key role in economic and social development processes. In most African societies, religious beliefs significantly influence institutions that govern relationships between individuals or groups, and hence either hinder or promote sustainable development. In this episode we unpack what conditions of religion affects development positively or negatively and answer the question of how religion can be used to promote a better society in Africa given its growing force in development.
