@the.ohemaa.mensah @TweneJonasTV @freddahe my farmer has so many additional livelihood activity to support his cocoa farm including this herbal plant, alligator pepper (local name is esoro wisa in akan and botanical name is Zingiberaceae Aaframonum)which has so many health benefits. it is a herbaceous plant which develops a bulb at the root level. the plant looks green when unripe and deep red when ripped. he demonstrated how the seed is peeled off the bulb after drying. the seed can be used as consumption as spice, anti oxidizing property, treatment of gastrointestinal disorder, wound healing, antimicrobial property, aphrodisiac property, anti inflammatory property, analgesic property, dermatological care, stimulant, malaria cure and digestive property according to research.
