2 years agoThank you, Sandra and Heather; I enjoyed your conversation a lot! I've been a lifetime searcher, who may have had a profound spiritual experience just when I turned 19 (I say "may have had", because I got scared that I was dying, and stopped it before it could progress…it stemmed from a question, "God, what time is it?"), and I am grateful there are so many more sharing their experiences these days…My first exposure to NDEs was not Dr. Raymond Moody, but the occasional story I'd read in (of all things!) The National Enquirer my Grandmom had on hand, about folks who came close to death/had flatlined, and came back w/ some amazing stories; this was about 1972, during my first real "anxiety crisis" when I was 14.
About "future predictions", I agree that the so-called future is malleable, and at best those who foresee events are "reading probabilities". The spiritual material I'm most drawn to (and have read thru a few times now) is the "Seth Material", channeled by the late Jane Roberts; "probabilities" are discussed extensively, as are many other fascinating concepts.
Sandra, I would heartily encourage you to look into dreams, as you stated. My own belief (and experience) is that dreams are an actual construct (at least in some cases); I often have dreams where I say "I visited a dream in progress", meaning that dream-reality is ongoing, and I pop in for visits. When I return from such dreams, it often takes me a minute or two to "remember" my waking-life situation; it's been fun to play with this! Loved ones visiting us in dreams, I do believe that happens; it's where I encounter my family members most often; I think it's because I'd built up such a strong "filtering system" that I'm rather "dense" to receiving visits/information/spiritual insights thru waking-life means. And, yes, I've seen beloved cat-companions, since "passed", in dreams.
Again, thanks for this delightful conversation; hearing such interviews helps me to "see beyond surface appearances"!
