2 years agoYou guys are wrong, try & get ur facts right before u go public. Religion is 80% responsible for Africa's under development while illiteracy, ethnicity, nepotism & other factors take the remaining 20%. The most advanced nations of the world are ireligious including Europe, China & Japan while the most backward countries are highly religious like Nigeria & Afghanistan. The US is seen to be religious bc many are Christians based on family history. Apart from the black community & the elderly, a greater percentage of young Americans are ireligious.
How do u separate religion from politics in a highly religious country like Nigeria? Are our leaders foreigners? Is it not the religious mindset they grew up with that guide their actions or inactions in governance? How else can u explain a situation where a governor will ask people to pray for insecurity to end instead of putting measures in place to tackle the problem.
Why won't there be corruption when a politician believes there's nothing wrong to steal public funds as long as he gives 10% to God as tithe. When the churches are always celebrating members who are top politicians, despite their atrocities in govt, what do you expect?
Africa will never see light as long as we continue to shy away from the truth.

2 years agoReligion is the number 1 cause of war. I'am Black living here in North America and been here my whole life. I used to be a Christian / religious and I'am so glad I broke free from it. Religion does not tell you how to think, but what to think where you are not suppose to think for yourself.
