I see Ghosts. Well, not exactly but I do see things that I cannot explain and that I’ve been trying to understand for some time now. Strange balls of light come to me at night and sometimes I even see them leave in the morning. 

The phenomenon began about 12 years ago, a few years after I embarked on a quest to find Spiritual truth. At that point the major religions of the world no longer made sense to me and I had begun to explore indigenous Spiritual traditions. I got into Mysticism but gave it up when I discovered Dohgon Spirituality.

One thing that I did keep from Mysticism was Meditating because Dohgon Spirituality also incorporates it but instead of reciting mantras to alter my mind-state, Dohgon Spirituality focuses on using Meditation to improve my minds ability to control my brain. Even so, a very strange phenomena began to occur regardless of both.

Shortly after I took up Meditating, I began to see balls of light floating towards my face. They’re not like regular light though because my eyes are usually closed. These balls of light are blurry and incandescent similar to Fireflies coming at me on a dark night walking in the woods.  

The phenomenon doesn’t always happen; only when I’m in the right state of mind. There is one condition that is almost always guaranteed to bring it on and that is by thinking about the cruelty of humanity. A few years ago, I saw a small child on a Nigerian website. She was laying in the grass naked with a large chop on the side of her head that almost split her skull open and of course she was dead.

The child was a victim in the ongoing conflict between Nigerian Christians and Islamic Fulani herders. The Fulani are notorious for slaughtering whole families of Christians for no reason other than they are Christian farmers and the farmers have good grazing grounds for Fulani cattle. “How did Black people come to this condition” I ask as my conscience torments me for a few minute then the they come like an armada in slow motion.

After adopting Dohgon Spirituality I began to Meditate in complete darkness. This allowed me to open my eyes as the balls of light float toward me and disappear from my vision on both sides of my head. I’ve tried to do research on the phenomenon but the closest explanation of what is actually happening is that I’m Astro Projecting, which is a sensation in which you feel as though your mind has separated from your body.

Astro Projection is a plausible explanation but I don’t actually feel as though I’m leaving my body at any time. I don’t believe that the balls of light that come toward me are clouds as I soar toward the Astro-Plane where they say Angels reside. I believe that the balls of light come toward me as I sit in a stationery position. Sometimes I actually see the same balls of light going in the opposite direction when I awake in the morning. It is as if they come in to Nest when I sleep then leave when I wake up.

So, what do I believe is actually going on? There are things about existence that humans are completely ignorant about. Throughout history we have tried our best to explain only a small fraction of those things. Philosophers have tried their best to protect their societies by organizing Spiritual beliefs into religions but life is a dynamic entity. No matter how humans try to put it into a box of beliefs, there is always new things to learn.

I believe in reincarnation. I believe that humans are only a miniscule portion of an omnipotent expression of the Great Spirit that is the Universe. Plants are only different from rocks because they can reproduce and humans are only different from plants because we are inhabited by Spirits, which are individual portions of the Great Spirit. When a Spirit inhabits a human at conception it generates a Soul.

Souls develop as individual energy beings that can live in a semi-physical state as a Ghost long after a person dies. While in a semi-physical state, a Souls can either continue to exist as long as it has enough energy to do so or it can try to re-enter the physical world in a newborn. I therefore believe that the balls of light that I see while Meditating are Souls of the dead.
