I Woke Up With My Hands Covering My Face

Aug 2022 28

A few weeks ago, I woke up with my hands covering my face. The situation was unusual and terrifying for several reasons. 1, I had never experienced such a thing before. 2, I was experiencing some sort of hallucination while I was completely awake. 3, the hallucination was vivid and it appeared as if I was trapped at the bottom of a pit of fire.

It was Saturday night, a night when I usually go to bed late so just before 4:AM I decided to turn in to give my mind a rest from a long day. I killed all the lights and laid on my back in my bed the way I usually sleep. My mind was active but not enough to cause insomnia of overcome my tiredness so within a few minutes I was out. The next thing I remember was waking up in a very unusual position. I was still on my back but both my hands were on my face palms down.

I’ve been startled out of my sleep many times before by noise or some other thing so I knew I had to assess my reality before panicking. I couldn’t help panicking though because what I saw in front of my eyes was the most amazing thing I had ever seen. Directly above my eyes, only inches from my face, I saw a burning structure that filled my entire field of vision. The fire wasn’t flames though; it was a form of molten fire with different hues of red, orange, and black. The only thing keeping the fire from my face was a sturdy black framework that resembled tree branches.

As I looked up at the molten structure, I began to try to figure out what I was actually seeing but I couldn’t because it was nothing like anything I had ever seen before. My fear went away and I turned my attention back to trying to figure out if I was dreaming or awake. I listened and could hear sounds outside. I closed my eyes and opened them several times and I could feel my eyelashes moving against my fingers. I even wiggled my fingers to see if they were actually on my face.

I began to wonder why I couldn’t feel any heat from the fire but then I just decided to go with the flow and see where this hallucination was going. Minutes past by with me staring into the fire. I watched as the heat glowed and shifted about then I wondered if the structure that was keeping the heat from my face was my hands and fingers. I moved one of my hands away from my face but the structure remained so I put it back. Then after some time of observing the molten structure it began to fade in intensity until it was gone.

At that point I was so astonished at what had just happened that I couldn’t go back to sleep. I removed my hands from my face to see that the room was still dark. That told me that it wasn’t quite morning yet so I turned and uncovered the clock, which I cover when I sleep to avoid light distraction. When I saw that it was only 4:30 I realized that the hallucination must have begun shortly after I fell asleep.

I covered back the clock, covered my face with my hands and tried to re-conjure the hallucination but nothing happened except my hands and forearms getting tired. How did they not get tired before, I thought? Even worse, how did my hands end up on my face? Eventually I fell back asleep and woke up around 9:AM the next morning. The hallucination was still vivid in my memory so I tried to make sense of it as much as I could.

Was it a premonition, because it sort of felt as if I was inside a furnace? I began to wonder if maybe it was my cremation after my death and how it will appear before my Soul leaves my Earthly body to rejoin my Spirit. My only solace is that I didn’t feel any pain, which took away all the fear associated with being trapped in such an awkward predicament. Maybe I’m simply over-thinking and it could be simply the product of stress.

I know from Dohgon Spirituality and the HERU Interface that death isn’t something to fear because my Spirit is eternal. I have incarnated in human form many times before and I will continue to incarnate in human form as many more times as my Spirit wishes. Ever since that night when I woke up with my hands covering my face I’ve been waiting for the hallucination to occur again but it hasn’t. If it is a premonition of death, I have no fear.
