I rode my Bicycle on every street in this video multiple time. Use to ride my dog around in his cart. He passed away so I dont ride anymore. – This storm was a beast. I , like most people underestimated it. Wasnt at all prepared whatsoever. hard learning lesson. Im about 6 blocks S.E. of this area.

Final recon run in the northern eyewall found Cat 3 equivalent winds. The wind damage does not appear to be nearly as bad as other Category 4's such as Ida.

Would love to see how you are doing now. Almost 2 months later, can't believe it. I had an aunt and uncle who lived there yes ago and loved it. Thoughts and prayers to all of you. Thank you for showing what can happen. I have family down by Miami and they haven't been thru a major hurricane, thankfully, but everyone one is headed that way I worry and she always says "it's just a little wind and rain" just makes me worry more. Anyway continue to stay safe.

I wouldn't trade our blizzards for a hurricane ever. So horrible on every level

It is heartbreaking to see all your damage. I know first hand. Spent most of my life here in FL. My family moved here in 1964. Within 2 months we experienced our first hurricane – Cleo. The next year our second – Betsy. And on and on. I'm watching from the east coast – Broward County. Stay strong! It is the greatest place in the world!

I moved from Cincinnati to Florida in 2001. Did mass research on hurricanes before choosing St. Augustine, Lived 1,600 feet from the beach during all the little storms in 2003 and 2004. Moved 2 miles inland after that. My area other than the coast will get spanked sometimes, but so far no mass devastation. Coast is another story. Hope y'all bet back to normal ASAP.

The eye wall was pounding my house for probably more than 6 hours constantly. We never got a break that is the eye of the hurricane. It was terrifying and I was awake the whole night because I was hungry, thirsty, and scared by the sounds outside. I was also worried sick because my grandma left behind one of her cats at her house because they couldn’t find her (and also kind of angry). Luckily we checked 2 days after the storm and the cat was fine. I think I got out so lucky compared to some of my neighbors and fellow Floridians. This storm gave me nightmares because I realize how close I could’ve came to losing everything.

Praying for all the hurricane Nicole victims smh….how I can not imagine how this must feel losing everything in that home but at the end of the day the most important in the world was kept sage which was you and your family the rest is replaceable and I'm so glad u see that!!! Although anything with significance to it like pictures are most likely gone…hang in there sending prayers from Oklahoma, love the Rodriguez family!!

12 hours of my sanity going down the drain

We had $75,000 dollars of damage in North Port, I can't even imagine how much damage that is because mine didn't look half as bad. Praying for everyone.

My house looked like that too, but smaller. Fucking sucks.

At the time it was noon for you around 11AM was when the storm surge was coming in my area near Vanderbilt/ Bonita Beach. We have back canals that really screwed us up. My whole house had to be gutted since there was roughly 11 feet of water and I live in a single story house. Since the storm I’ve been living with a family member while my dad fixes the house to be livable again. Tough to say when that’ll be but it was cool to see a different perceptive on the storm!
