“The melody for ‘Conqueror’ came to me in a dream while in a hospital battling for my life after a ruptured appendix. It became the sign of my victory. I fully recovered, went home and wrote this song over a period time to capture the essence of my faith and the experience. Conqueror is a reminder that life is too big and mysterious for any of us to win all by ourselves and in our own strength. We all need a champ, Jesus – the Champion and Conqueror of the Universe.”
Obiora Obiwon is an award winning nigerian singer songwriter. He debuted as a solo artist in 2006 after previous years honing his skills with local hiphop groups including the Thorobreds. From 2009 Obiora Obiwon’s music began to focus on christian/gospel themes, after citing an epiphany the previous year. His discography includes 3 EPs and 4 LP albums as well as several singles.
