9 months agoOle jim Jones ws an avid atheist , extremely liberal ,preach democratic socialism and acted like he was God
Democrats in 2025 advocate against Christianity in schools , promote socialism and are extremely liberal
Trump is a hardcore capitalist , fiscally not liberal and believes in our lord and savior Jesus christ
But I always see in comments and yall just said it that Trump is like jim Jones
I mean come on yall , I realize Trump derangement syndrome is very real but if yall can't see that comparing those 2 is totally insane then yall are to far gone to come back to reality
400 hundred totally innocent children was unalived because ignorant lazy commune living democrats followed a self proclaimed democratic socialist , democrats for those who are to ignorant to know thats the same thing , are comparing to a guy who is the complete opposite of that

9 months agoJim Jones Jr. in his Oprah interview implied Jim Jones was not a racist. I don't think he was a racist eithe, considering he adopted many kids of different ethnicity. I understand the host trying to push the racist angle and describing Jonestown as a Plantation, but listening to the guest, none of them describe the Temple or Jones that way. Yes, the majority were black, but white members were treated no different.

9 months agoClowns. You haven’t learned a damn thing. He used your latent racism to convince you that he was helping you in the battle against the evil white race. When a white person is telling you that “You’re the victim”, “These evil whites are the ones betraying you”, and “All the ones who want out are the whites” was a hint that HE, not the white race, was using your latent racism against you to make you his army. The same thing Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson, Maxine Waters, and so many more have been doing to black people for decades for THEIR OWN profit. Even after all this, you still haven’t realized it. White people fought and died to free this land of slavery even though black people in Africa practiced slavery long after that. WAKE UP! No one of any importance is against black people. Only a dumb ass hick is holding on to that old stupid race shit. STOP ALREADY, you’re the fortunate blacks of the world, Live it up, and stop being a victim.

9 months agoI was just a year old when the #Jonestown massacre occurred. My best friend (since 2nd grade) lost a cousin in that mass murder event. After watching Soledad O'brien's "Escape from Jonestown" documentary on CNN in 2009, i began doing a deep dive. I've read several books on this subject, including Leslie Wagner-Wilson's book, "Slavery of faith", along w/ Deborah Layton's book. I've watched many other documentaries on this subject. What I've noticed (among other things) is that the story of Jonestown is often told through the lens or "voice" of the white survivors, & not enough focus is given to the voices & recollections of the black survivors.

9 months agoGBlezz. Alot of mixed up messy madness. God is aware of the mixup. There is a division between individuals who where subjegated out of hostile intense unfathomable concious emphasized acts of ulterior and individuals who has had everything the world could offer of a good life plus more and got indulged in madness with no rational logic or ethic. Although that gets varied as well. The lines go some got unhinged at a young age and spiralled gradually. Some spent a lot of time not finding meaning and sought thrills when got older. Then THIS A BIG ONE some who came up with good upbringing but was subjected amongst theyre own good upbringing community to point of theyre genuineness never being recognized on a level of similar understanding to those that spent whole life in madness. And theres some in all different varies who recognized the madness at a certain point and was stuck and even to my credit of aptitude can say did indirect gods work of high bravery

9 months agoClay Cane, it seems that you are "minimizing" the horrors of what these people went through and especially the consummate "Demonic Evil" of Jim Jones — by summing it all up with declaring "Trump" to be "exactly like same."
Half this nation just elected Trump President. You're saying that the "Hell on Earth" created by Jim Jones is "the same" as life in the US today under Trump?
"Racism" is alive and well, not officially under Teump, but certainly with commentators like YOU leading these folks astray with misinformation.

9 months agoSammy Maloof, the owner of Maloof Racing Engines in San Gabriel, CA, is a faith healer. He told an old black woman who was crippled, that the reason she couldn't get up was that she didn't have enough faith. He convinced my husband who scorned faith healers and their ilk, that he could rid him of the constant excruciating pain he was in (due to bone on bone arthritis of the hip) that if my husband gave him his '65 Mustang he would be cured. I told my husband he could forget about being cured; he was just going to have to live with the pain 'cause he wasn't giving our Mustang away.
