This week on the AC podcast Ben sits down with apologist and theologian, Dr. Michael Horton. They unpack the growing trend of people embracing “spirituality” while rejecting organized religion. Today, many Christians even dabble in astrology, reincarnation, or just get drawn toward New Age practices. How can the church respond in truth and grace?
Join us for a theological deep dive into how New Age philosophy has seeped into Christian thinking, and how followers of Jesus can engage a culture hungry for meaning but hesitant about the Gospel.

Great to hear this! Lord, gwt the word out!
Fascinating topic! Thanks for the video
I used to say I’m ‘spiritual not religious’ and ‘relationship not religion.’ 🤦🏼♀️ I didn’t realize that I was abandoning my actual beliefs. these concepts slip in very easily in churches that embrace culture instead of inform culture.
Melissa Dougherty covers this New Age/New Thought religion thoroughly having come out of it herself.
Halifax and Inverness are very beautiful.
Awesome video!
Hello from your neighbor in dry NB. 😊
This was great! I used to be a 'spiritual and not religious' person and my friends even used to nickname me 'the shaman'! But I was saved by Jesus and life is forever changed and He is so gooooood! ✝️🔥🙏
I started seeing and using spiritual not religious in the 80s. I still believed in Jesus and the Bible. It was to separate from the religious denominations since many were going threw scandal after scandal. It got to the point that you couldn't trust any organization. Better off trusting God on our own and fellowship with other people of similar thought.
That on almost every woman’s online dating profile lol.
Christianity is relationship with Christ first and foremost, but it's also a religion, it's just secondary. Christ above all!
At about 24:50, physics is mentioned as new age. Am I missing something?
Magic man 🎉
That phrase might be "the great falling away" that Jesus talked about!
I want to hear from this historian of religion named Jay-Z
Speaking on Transhumanism, there’s a prosthesis company, well the one I’m aware of, there’s probably more, that’s moving forward with implantable neuromuscular electrodes.
This will lead amputees, such as myself, to be a part of the integration of more industrial robots and humanoids. So scary!!
Would you stand with a Crusade against Islam? Our Christian politeness is being mistaken for weakness. It’s time to start pushing back or the west will be lost. America cannot wait anymore. Canada cannot wait anymore. Europe cannot wait anymore. I’m sure I sound crazy but I have been praying and praying. Holding monologue with god. I have been compelled with conviction to discuss this amongst fellow Christian’s for now. All our governments are not going to help as they seem to get more and more perverted and corrupt and blind to those that love and desire peace, justice, and mercy.
Pray for peace. For the health of our world and its people. Pray for the governments of Europe to see the evils and atrocities of the Islamist in their countries. Pray that Islam will sit with us and enjoy the world’s fruits. That Islam will accept that we must live together and all can prosper and raise our children in peace. Pray I am wrong and a lunatic. Pray that if I am right it is not too late. 🙏🇺🇸🙏🇨🇦🙏🇮🇱🙏
Very interesting … Thanks for sharing and God Bless ✨🙏🫶✨
Preterism are the only people making sense on YouTube now.
I think you should read your comments and watch ypurselves on this video.
Man, your attitudes, clear judgements on " spiritual not religious" people do Not indear either of you to those of us who have left church but still have a relationship with Jesus.
Despite being almost completely formed modeling Christian principles and Scriptures, AA very quickly started its descent into the "spiritual, not religious" mindset. They now claim inclusivity for all….just don't try bringing up Christianity or Jesus in a meeting or you'll quickly encounter hostility, exclusion, & be silenced.
Heard this in secular business before. A CEO told a group of managers this!
All these spiritual gurus yoga, seem happy and successful.
Is that a trap?
We who believe this we thought we were unifying religion by picking and choosing from them all but what we were really doing was creating as many different religions as there are people while essentially making the collective, which ultimately means the state, the god.
Why do you use BCE & CE in your book instead of BC & AD???
