I'm 73; when I was a young girl a close relative of my parents (Uncle Mike) died and was resuscitated during surgery. Because of his delicate health no one told him that he had died on the table. He told my dad about climbing stairs with an angel when the angel suddenly turned and said, "I'm sorry, but you have to go back."

Summarize this anyone? I am suspicious of anything longer than 10 minutes that isn't in scientific journals.

I've had a minor experience like this. Wasn't 'shared death' as such. I always forget about it until a video like this reminds me. I was a teenager heading towards my local city centre. As I was walking past the hospital I was drawn to it. I didn't dwell on it, just thought, 'i want to go in' then shrugged it off and forgot about it. After a short while, probably an hour or two, I went home and as soon as I walked through the door my dad looked at me and said, 'grandad's in hospital with a suspected stroke.' He survived. Turns out he hadn't had a stroke at all, he'd just forgotten to take his tablets! It's not much of an experience, I know. But whenever I'm reminded of it I wonder why I wanted to go into the hospital

(32:00) Why doesn't everybody have an NDE, in cardiac-arrests for instance? It might be like with dreams. Some mornings you remember no dreams (although you probably had some), other mornings you remembers dreams clearly; other mornings in between…
(39:00) Angels have no wings. In ancient times if they wanted to show something that flies, like in hieroglyphs, they gave it wings. It was not to be taking literally. But when time passed, people forgot this. So they started to take it literally.
(42:00) The difference and similarities with some kinds of drugs is 'simply' explained. First the brains gets slightly impaired and all kind of strange blurry things happen less real. But if you go far enough your brain shuts down. Then the consciousness is no more filtered by the brain, it leaves, bursts open and everything becomes crystal clear, more real than ever.

I’ve been doing my own research on NDE’s for over twenty years.
There’s not one ounce of doubt in my mind these are true experiences and there is a beautiful place we transition to when we pass over.

My mum, an atheist, had a NDE . She found it very reassuring and was never fearful about dying. She never became religious and was adamant that the afterlife was for everyone not just for the religious.

Sean thank u for mentioning the study that shows 1 in 5 are hellish. Those who say it’s all love and loveliness make Jesus a liar when he says the path is narrow😊

    It’s amusing.

Dr: Steve present himself as needing evidence and hard to convince.. but completely missing the blind spot that Bible somehow is a written book, which presents itself as a word of God.

    This dishonesty is staggering!

I had a NDE when i was 16. Definitely changed my prospective.

    Nope nope nope nope!

    Sorry.

I've never had an NDE but I have taken acid a number of times and everything I've read about NDEs describe s nothing like an acid trip.

I really enjoy watching this interview and so want to believe in NDE's. but I have a question, if the brain is damaged beyond recovery (e.g. from gun shot wound), then pretty much no one comes back from NDE's under such circumstances. So does that mean souls "reside" in our brains ? or does that mean NDE's are merely product of residual brain activiites ? genuine question here; I'm not a "nay sayer".

  13. #13

Many genuine atheists believe what they think but lot of them believe in an other being and that's where they get their scientific knowledge from. They are attached to satan all their lifes and moking NDE because of weird system of beliefs, they have dogmas! I was an atheist, I know those scholars very well.

Had a negative experience not very positive. Communication with evil spirits without words. Left depressed afterwards and it led me to God. Jesus

When it comes to the bible – and an evidence for afterlife – forget about it. I am no atheist – but when it comes to any religious books or believe systems – I am out and gone.

Let me know when someone has an actual death experience. Until then the evidence is kinda flimsy. People have experiences they think are real, but aren't real all the time, so how can I tell if someone's experience of the supernatural is real or an hallucination?

  17. #17

So on the other side is trickery and deceptions ?

  18. #18

If these NDEs are as common as claimed by all those NDE claimants, then it should be possible to scientifically verify them. Not a single experiment has verified them to date, and there have be many such experiments. The 'evidence' is anecdotal..

I seen Christ with my own eyes the love that flowed out of him but I was terrified at the same time if that makes sense

Consciousness exists as a field that permeates the universe; our brains tap into that field.
