is a religion that developed in brazil. This religion is based on the traditional beliefs of the Yoruba people of west africa
who were shipped from Africa to brazil.

Candomblé, born in Brazil during the era of slavery, blends African and Indigenous spiritual traditions with Catholicism.

Central to Candomblé are the vibrant drumming and dancing ceremonies, honoring Orishas, powerful deities that guide
and protect devotees.

Offerings like fruits, flowers, and candles are used to invoke Orishas’ blessings and build a connection with the spiritual
world.

Candomblé is led by priestesses and priests known as “Iyalorixás” and “Babalorixás,” who oversee rituals and initiations.

Candomblé communities provide a sense of belonging and support for its members, fostering deep spiritual connections.
