Today’s video is all about Pepper, the feisty melanistic alligator who’s making waves (and maybe some splashes) at Gatorland! 🌊🐊

What makes Pepper so special? Melanistic alligators have a stunning all-black appearance due to a genetic quirk that makes them look like shadowy ninjas in the water. Pepper is no exception—she’s sleek, mysterious, and definitely not to be messed with!

Here’s Pepper’s Story:
Pepper was once part of Brian Barczyk’s Reptarium family, living alongside her albino sister, Salt. But let’s be real—this spicy alligator had a little too much attitude! She didn’t just share space with her sister—she challenged her! Pepper loves to fight and is always ready to show off her high-strung personality. 🥊⚡️

Eventually, the Reptarium team decided it was best for Pepper to come to Gatorland, where she can have a brand new habitat and two new friends to keep her company. It’s awesome to have a piece of Brian Barczyk’s world here with us at Gatorland, and Pepper is already making her mark (literally!).
