I don't understand how someone can cross a road without looking both ways. I tend to be so paranoid that I would check both sides even when crossing a one way road. There are alot of crazy people in the world and it takes great faith in humanity to always expect other people to do the right thing, leave alone see you ahead of time.

I'd almost swear, when looking at the slomo carefully, that the girl crossing in front of the train actually did briefly and subtly look to the left, did see the train slowing down and just didn't give a shit and expected the train to stop. The last frame before crossing the fence she is looking straight ahead, then the first couple of frames emerging to the right of the fence you can tell she rotated her face to the left. I think she did see it and the way she dodges the train is this typical entitled "hey what the f are you doing, you were supposed to watch out, not me" way of dodging self-induced peril.
