The Alien God ideology is a popular New Age theory that states human beings were created by aliens through hybridization/genetic modification. According to this theory humans beings must then also evolve through genetic manipulation as well. Thus this theory creates a dependency on “alien gods” and places humanity in a strange co-dependant hierarchy of alien beings. Not to mention, a feeling of immense powerlessness, as we cannot evolve through our own will and efforts.

3 weeks agoThere's a 1966 Lost in Space episode, "Lost Civilization", where they find an alien sculpture in a cave on another planet, and the sculpture is clearly a copy of an ancient Sumerian Anunnaki statue. This episode aired 10 years before the publication of Zechariah Sitchin's first book, which as far as I know was the first time that it was suggested that the Anunnaki were extraterrestrial.
