This is my first time on this channel and I believe that my prayer is being answered through this interview and other similar subjects as I'm searching for answers yet this one cuts deeper than the rest… As an enthusiastic consumer of the NDE stories and experiences, I started casting a doubt on them due to my Christian background (the 'charismatic' kind) and having stopped going to church during and after the COVID – 19 lock down, since. I started wandering about the modern church concept where it felt as if I'd be in a circus and as far as the traditional church concept for me, couldn't be my cup of tea… While on the other hand, because of the background, I didn't want to entertain other religions and beliefs. Thank you for bringing some clarification and affirming my position as far as this subject of NDE's is concerned… God bless.

That still doesn't answer the question as to why some of us young and old experience an 'NDE' and come back to tell what happened and others just die whether lost or in a state of grace..

It is perfectly understandable for these gentlemen to talk about these experiences in the light of their religious background (Christianity). It makes perfect sense. However, any religion that teaches that God is love, could easily come to the same conclusions. I have studied many religions over the course of my 70 years. I was also a Christian for the first 45 years of my life. I truly believe that we have a spiritual aspect to our being. However, I do not think any religious tradition has a corner on the understanding of that nature. I give these gentlemen credit for examining this topic. However, they are suffering from extreme religious bias and they cannot legitimately be open minded or objective as to the nature of our spirituality.

I Don't like when these people steer these stories to religion. I don't believe them once they do this. Why no one sees a caveman relative. Why only recent modern relatives. Why most of the trauma in the WORLD happens in non White societies but most of these stories are from caucasian people. NOT likely. Shootings occur more in the inner cities yet hardly any of these stories come from inner city trauma. Skeptical.

We do not have a spiritual body because this only happens at the coming of the Lord, Jesus received a spiritual body when he was resurrected not before. Those who have NDS have not died otherwise they would not be able to tell any stories. Furthermore, we are not conscious if our brain is destroyed. To believe there is conscious awareness at death is to go against scripture. Nothing have changed in our human nature to change what the Bible says about death. It is possible that someone in that out of body state can experience spiritual events because the Lord can communicate with us and this is a blessing, however without new bodies we are not conscious and this is something the Bible acknowledges.

My NDE happened at age 14, I'm 70 now and still remember it vividly. I did not see God, but felt his warm presence and love all around me. The whole of Heaven was lit by his brilliant golden light. I had the distinct impression that I would not be able to look on his face.

What I did see, though, was a beautiful meadow on top of a mountain after going up the tunnel. Even more spectacular was when I turned and was faced with a huge building made of crystal walls that appeared to be formed from gigantic panels of diamond. Huge this place was, and filled with bright souls singing praises to God in the most beautiful song of joy you could imagine.

Close your eyes, imagine a gigantic crystal structure reaching to the stars with a chorus of millions of brilliant souls, men and women, singing in perfect pitch, filled with joy.

I was told that I had to come back to my life. I begged the entity standing beside me to let me stay. But, I was violently sucked back into my battered body lying at the bottom of a rock wall, after I slammed into it on my bike whose brakes had failed.

My new teenage life was no different after the NDE and I never told a soul, partly because I was already being horribly bullied at school and my family would have mocked me, so I kept my experience to myself. The year was 1966 and I had never heard of anyone talking about anything like NDEs in the media.

The strange thing is that God impressed on my heart the desire to help others in pain and suffering. I was guided to a life in emergency services, first as an EMT in ambulances in Los Angeles, then working as a lead fire dispatcher in a busy regional urban fire comm center, then as a law enforcement 9-1-1 dispatcher and finally as a firefighter/EMT.

These are highly competitive jobs to obtain, and every time I applied for a job, I came out number 1 on the hiring list. I could feel God's influence in my life as He placed me in positions where I could do good for others. For that, I am grateful.

My life has been filled with uncanny experiences, detailed premonitions that came true, strange spirits and demons to deal with and even felt the other side of the NDE experience. We rescued a scuba diver who had been drowned in the ocean off Laguna Beach, California in the early 1970s. We pulled him out of the surf dead and ashen gray, but we would not give up on him, right until the ER doc pronounced him. I still remember the doctor's words, "Ok, stop CPR. There's nothing more we can do for him. He was down too long…"

I had a good cry after that call. We did everything we could and could not save him. The next day, he sat up in his bed, greeted me with a big smile and fully described the harrowing race to the hospital and, yes, he described his experience in Heaven. He awakened just before the coroner arrived to pick up his body. How he could even recognize me is a story all on its own.

So, yeah, heaven is real, people come back to testify under God's new covenant with us since the death and resurrection of Jesus, and all I want to do is go back home. Since the day I died, I yearn to see God's brilliant face.

There are about a dozen ressurections in the Bible they were truly dead and neither of them spoke about what happened after they died. U know why ? Because they didn’t know anything. Gods word says that the dead are asleep in thier graves. Only the 24 else’s that Jesus raised are there including Moses , Elijah, and Enoch.

Most of the NDE accounts that I have listened to are from people who have went to a beautiful place and had a beautiful experience. And many of these people appear to not be living the life that God teaches us to live in the Bible and don't confess that Jesus is the only way to salvation as the Bible clearly teaches. Assuming that most of the NDE accounts are true, then it can be deceiving because the fact that they had a beautiful experience doesn't necessarily mean that is where they will ultimately spend eternity.

God told Paul not to speak of what he saw and heard when in heaven, why would He allow anyone else ? Why would God allow unbelievers into heaven when He can't be in the presence of sin ? God dwells in a light that no man can approach or has seen. Everyone's story about visiting Heaven are all different. They would be preoccupied instead with the majesty and grace of the One whose glory fills the place.

Jesus is Lord God Almighty clothed in unsinful humanity and He is the author of eternal life to all who trust Him alone for salvation.

Saving repentance is realizing that you are a sinner deserving of God's just punishment in Hell and turn (repent) from whatever you trusted in before, if indeed you trusted in anything; to trusting in the person and finished work of Christ "alone" for salvation.

Hi John, I have read your book, wonderful book. I have been researching nde's for 20 years since my young daughter went to heaven. I was already interested in the spiritual realm, I'm very curious and I happened to read Embraced by the Light by Betty Eadie. But when my daughter went to heaven it shook my faith, and , it caused me to go on this search for near death experiences, just reading all I could about people's stories.
