Nigeria, 98% identifies as theists, evenly split between Islam and Christianity, religion plays a huge role in the lives of Nigerians. A deviation from Nigeria’s theistic position puts you in the overwhelming minority, and sometimes if not most times, at odds with friends, families, or even your employer.

Religiosity is the mainstay here, religion is often interjected into almost every activity, from prayers at buses, marketplace, workplace, social outdoors, or even at restaurants. It is commonplace to frequently find people praying or gesturing in religious mannerism that seem congruous to the populace.
