2 years agoMy eloquent, forgiving sister Celimpilo. What a wonderful conversation, thank you for this. I have such incredible admiration for Celimpilo and for her bravery in standing up and speaking out. As for me, I don’t believe God works in a place that condones abuse and protects abusers – even one child who is harmed is one too many. I grew up there too and strongly believe the entire leadership structure needs to be dismantled. Remove the church from the equation – and spend its millions in reparations for the many victims, as well as uplifting the surrounding community. I’ve never understood how they justify enriching themselves when their very neighbours live in poverty and work for minimum wage. I believe the place has turned into an industry, it needs to stop using religion to further its capitalist goals. I’ll shut up now, but thank you!

2 years agoThis is a good conversation. Thanks to Celimpilo for helping me navigate my reaction to the transitioning of Mfundisi Tegen and dealing with his most visible legacy, KwaSizabantu Mission.
@cebobiyela
2 years agoGod definitely worked KwaSizabantu into existance and God is still in control there. We must always remember that very often God works with imperfect human beings and that is evident even in the bible. It could be that certain individuals in the Mission may have erred BUT it is cruel to categorize the entire KwaSizabantu as an organisation in bad light. There is definitely more good than bad. May you be blessed.

2 years agoI have a wonderful experience in that place , for many, many years and until now ❤
Solve the problem, the wall between you and God and you will see clearly! God is still working and transforming lives and you busy with nothing!

2 years agoGreat content, Lungelo and excellent insights from your conversations. Might I make a small suggestion, though: could you introduce the subject or issue from the onset and perhaps also let the guests to introduce themselves as things can get a bit murky at the beginning of the interview. Thank you kindly.
