For some reason my message was deleted, when I commented that I am surprised – how there can be no right and wrong? And when I mentioned Jesus – what did He die for then, if there is no right or wrong?

It's so sad when one's mother, who is supposed to be your best friend, your confidant and your moral support system in this world, doesn't believe when you confide something so important and profound. Even if her disbelief is the case, she should have listened to her child and offered some comfort and support. It has been parents like this mother who had actually yielded the "coming out" of the NDE phenomenon for decades. "Let's sweep this under the rug and it will be as if it never existed." How wrong and how stupid.

Can someone explain to me the current American craze of making up ridiculous stories about talking to god, being visited by angels, visiting heaven, hell etc. I guess it says something about the collective psyche of a certain cohort. Perhaps it's a reflection of the mess the country is in? There's always been a high degree of religious mania / extremism in America but it seems worse at present.
