I have 2.
When I was 12 my friend, who I was sprinting home in the rain with, stopped to tie his shoes again. I stopped with him being fully soaked already. Lightning hit the ground exactly where we would’ve been. We watched it scatter all on the street and just stood there is shock for a few seconds before starting to run much faster.
The 2nd is I got hit by a car and my ankle was under the tire. Had the lady slammed on the brakes a split second later she’d have driven up my knee then straight at my head. Thankfully she stopped and without turning the wheel or using the gas, rolled backwards off my ankle. I’ll be scared forever on my ankle but I think all the time how much worse it could’ve been.

I grew up on a lil ranch in a double wide and slipped off a truck bed pulling a trailer of hay and just got out of the way of the hay bail trailer. I think about that time to time. I grew up next to a family who.lost their kid to a farm accident. I still dream about that and wake up sweating.

You can tell he is really recollecting a true story. When someone looks up when telling a story, they are recreating a real event. Looking down is an indicator that they are fabricating things.
