I experienced an NDE. In the morning getting ready for work. It felt like a heart attack. I traveled. Through clouds and stars, I saw the earth get smaller and smaller behind me as I moved with the speed of light. I was being carried. I don't know by whom other than it was a benevolent being. I entered a star. There was a giant beating heart. It was a brilliant light but didn't hurt my eyes. I felt the love and then I thought or said… 'I should probably go to work'… and then, as quickly as I arrived, I departed. I moved in reverse. I remember asking if I could come back later, at a better time. I blinked and I was staring at the ceiling of my bedroom. I have not had a return visit to that holiest of places. I long for another experience like that. I have been deeply in love but earthly romantic love is no comparison to this celestial experience. I long for it like a lover longs for a lost love but it is so much more than that. Words can't describe. I wish I could express myself as well as Peter. Not a day passes that I don't think about it. It has altered my life. This comment column is a place of peace. May all who read know unconditional peace and love that Source/God/Creator/The Great Spirit/The Oversoul, whatever you want to call it… May you know Its immense eternal love. As an atheist I have watched dozens of these so-called near-death experience testimonies, and when I find is that it almost always coincides what the person's pre-existing religious beliefs. For example if a Christian has a near-death experience, he's going to babble about God and Jesus but if he Buddhist has one of these experiences he's going to mention his gods. There is no reason to believe in this nonsense! There are clearly defined medical and neuroscientific explanations for this phenomenon. There is no reason to assert a supernatural component
