This story means a lot to me. My dad passed away last month. As he lay unconscious and dying, I held his hand and silently asked his guide to help him cross. I said my mom (who was standing across from me and had no idea I was praying this) would be okay without him. I said this because my mom had been holding on to him in an unhealthy way, and I believe it was making him stay beyond his time.

Suddenly my phone rang. My aunt was at the Metro and needed me to pick her up and bring her to the hospital. Right after I picked her up, my mom called to say my dad died during the brief time I had left him. I knew in my heart his guide heard me and responded. I also felt good that my dad was now his old self and is reunited with our family who passed before him.

In 1966, mum had an NDE after surgery.
She recalls floating above her body & out through the corridor.
She has no recollection apart from that & hearing the medical staff saying "she's breathing again"..
HOWEVER, during that same time, my grandmother recalled seeing her standing at the doorway of her caravan, smiling contently. Nan spoke to her and questioned her as to why she was there and not in hospital…
Mum then vanished from sight.

( * nan would tell us as youngster's how she often had brief visits from my deceased cherished grandfather 💖..
Who stood in the same doorway, smiling reassuringly at her..
* he passed away in July 1964
when my twin & I were 4.. We were extremely close to him. When we last saw him leaving, we were so distressed as we had a 'knowing' that's we would never see him again. 💔😭
Soon after, he died from a sudden heart attack. He was 59.
The night of his funeral ( which we did not attend)
we were in bed, terribly grief stricken… 💔😭
when Suddenly a gossamer glow of sparkling white light beamed through the bedroom window & our grandfather spoke to us saying.
" its poppy…
Dont be sad…
I love you" …
We were ecstatic.. 💐💖
Since then I've always known there is an afterlife 💖
Im eager to go home… But know my time ⏳ isn't up yet..

Thank you for narrating, I liked this story. His mother was right there, don't know if anyone else thinks the same as me, but they didn't go through a tunnel or anything just his mother was right there like she's always close to them within a few seconds

If you are having an OBE, any disturbance to the body creates a cautious fear like response action and you snap back in the body, even if you happen to be stuck in a cataleptic state for a brief time. So if you were out of the body and EMT’s are cutting and pulling and tugging you around and you are not in back in the body, then yeah you may not have flat lined for long in an NDE I would guess. From a healthy body I have had OBE’s and sudden changes even if not aware of them will pop you back.
