How he didn't suffocate under this snow?

Never had an accident of this magnitude, but have been trapped by heavy snow and immobilized. And even though my head remained above the snow, if I had not been skiing with a friend who heard my shouts, there is NO way I could have freed myself. One has no idea of the weight of snow until they are trapped under it!

And THAT is why there ARE ALWAYS friends on a powder day!! They could save your life!

In Jan. 2021, a skier was found dead upside-down in a tree well at Mammoth Mt. This resort typically has the most snow fall in NA due to the sky river effect (huge flow of water vapor coming in from the Pacific blocked by the Sierra Nevada mountain range).

I still come watch this sometimes. Fucking gnarly man real time homie rescue. Clawing your way through the all that pow up the hill. Awesome job getting him out.

Easily could have died had you been further down the hill before realizing he was buried.

That is some of the craziest footage we've seen from powder skiing! Rad adventures can turn deadly at any point in time, and you witnessed it first hand. We're glad everyone made it through the ordeal without injury! Would you mind if we posted this on our networks? This is a wonderful video and you have a wonderful portfolio!
