Sorry about how badly this one was narrated guys… I was quite literally shedding man tears. I could feel the pain in his words as I was reading them.

This one is strange. Like most NDEs, the experiencer met the person he most wanted to see…God. In this case, God is made out to be a cuck than what most experience…I don't know why. I can understand this person's rage at God and Christians. I get it. For me, this was a very "Russian" story…meaning abysmally depressing. His experience with God was depressing and lackluster just as the experience in the life review. Normally, there is something "more" and this story was lacking it…which makes me very sad for the experiencer. In all of the countless NDEs I have read or listened to, nearly 100% do not jive up with Biblical teachings. Maybe NDEs are a true look at the other side…maybe not…I guess I'll know soon enough (relatively speaking to how short a human life really is in relation to Earth's time). I do not judge this person. I merely wish him well.

Christians are also unable to see our own weakness. We can be prideful and ignorant of what what God wants us to display to others, which is love. A large majority of Christians have not even read the Bible. We should all be learning every day and growing in the knowledge of our Lord.

How sad that your father was so abusive to you, yet proclaimed to be a “ Christian” . Unfortunately, this skewed your perception of what God is like. I’m so happy that you overcame your addiction and also made n your way to America! What an amazing

Atheist dies and has a conversation with God. I guess that makes him no longer an atheist!

Thanks for sharing this! It was good!

One of the best. One of the saddest. One of the most valuable I have heard. Blessed be God, Allah , Krishna , Jesus , Moses. Blessed

Alexi's story is so heartbreaking. And it's the most believable one I've heard. A god who won't help. A god who gives an abused and addicted man the choice between hell or more strife. We are on our own here, aren't we?

Alexi's take on Christians mirrors my own. So often it seems they have the pretence of being devout followers of Jesus, but would honestly rather let people starve than be inconvenienced by them. Religious organizations harbor evil.

Religion is different than being a Christian and the two need to be separated imo tho we should stop being the judges of others journeys to finding God / Jesus. Everyone’s path to God is different like a fingerprint. We are all guilty of judging others when we should be judging ourselves. Thank you for sharing though and sorry for the pain you suffered. I am glad your life turned around.

As being in the only predominantly Christian country in Asia, I can really feel your pain. People can be easily bought during elections. They steal, lie and sabotage good people. Very sad.

I'm praying for you and I think you kept running into fanatics. People who know the word of God, but somehow lack his peace and love. I hope they eventually find it.

First time getting to this one. I really needed to hear this NDE today so thank you!

Just wanted to say thanks to Alexa ( hope I got the name right) for sharing. Faith is a journey. I pray the best for your faith journey. The following is meant to be encouraging, if it doesnt encourage you forgive me. 11 of the twelve disciples died horrible agonizing deaths because they not simply believed God but followed him. In some ways knowing God is a more difficult life. Faith is a journey that can be as painful as it is rewarding. What happened to you sucks and I'm sorry but don't let the pain dictate your reason. Many of the Christians that have commented have already stated their frustrations with the church. I agree and would like to say this is what Jesus was talking about in the parable of the wheat and the weeds. There are only two churches that exist the true one and the cultural one. The cultural one usually gets the spot light. I would also like to challenge you Alexa to search for God not emotionally but scientifically. I know this can be hard but I think you might be surprised to find a lot of science supports Jesus. A lot of scientific minds were also very devote in their faith. Einstein, Isaac Newton, just to name a couple. God bless. One last things most churches in America make converts but Jesus told us to make disciples. Don't pay attention to the converts. And if you dare to be a disciple make sure you weigh the cost.

This NDE reminds me of a conversation I had with a Satanist when I was stationed in Keesler AFT, Biloxi, MS. There were 4 of us sitting chilling after we got off duty for the day, sipping coffee and smoking cigarettes and somehow the topic of religion came up. I was quite curious as to what made him decide to be a Satanist, and before he could even start to explain, the guy sitting next to me, who was also a Christian, exploded in a judgmental rage at him for his religion and the Satanist immediately turned to me and pointed at the other Christian and stated "This is exactly why" even though I'm a Satanist, I'm a better and less judgmental person than him. He stated most Christians are like that and react that way when confronted with alternate religions. I didn't even have a rebuttal for that, other than to state "Well, obviously not all of us are like that" but after that experience, I started paying really close attention and most Christians I had associated with were, at least to some degree, very much like that Christian guy that exploded at the Satanist.

It was really sad, because after that, my eyes were opened to recognizing a lot of the hypocrisy a lot of Christians have. I try so hard to remind everyone that everyone has their own path to walk and their own "cross to bear" as it were, and to always just be loving and kind and accepting and supportive of everyone and to always reach out with a loving open hand, and not a judgmental continence.

I love you all and I am always here if anyone ever needs anything I can do within my ability!!!!

Its free choice based on circumstance not of our free will. And when young we don't have choice in our circumstances. And the first seven years are very important. We don't have free will over how we are made as those born with no arms or legs. Its the choices we make when we see evil prosper.

Hello. I'm a Christian. As humans, many tend to push their views whether political or religious. It isn't Christianity that pushes their views and punishes others, just as it is not Islam, Jewish, or Catholicism. It is humans that twist the views and punish others. I don't believe that this is from God. The humans that punish in the name of God are not of God. God is love. The only words that I believe are from God are the ten commandments. So my thoughts are… try not to be angry at God for humans actions.

You did great Leigh. I enjoyed listening and felt bad for this man and how he was treated by his dad. I cried some too.

  19. #19

Heads up: Elohim is a name for God revealed by Joseph Smith in the 1830’s

  20. #20

I understand where this person is coming from. I appreciate the candid questions. I understand the hard feelings towards Christians. It took me years to get past my resentment towards Protestants.

  21. #21

I agree with the over-enthusiastic Christian making the atheist skiddish. My husband is a non-believer and he listens as long as you don't push. Plant seeds only, a few at a time. Thank you for your story.

  22. #22

Stop saying that Lee, you did just fine. What you said in the beginning which is true. You felt many different things when he was speaking about his experience during his NDE. I'm sure you already know the reason why you felt that emotion, it's not really emotion. That feeling is different from emotions. It is the holy spirit of Truth burning in your heart and now you know truth when you recognize this feeling every time you hear truth and inspiration. All truth you will feel like that, truth you can never deny ever again.

  23. #23

some of the biggest sinners i have ever met in my life are devout christians. does this make them any less of a person that the next? no. And why? Because Jesus gave us the commandment, Love one another as you love yourself. He never said to pick and choose who to love.
Faith should not be dependent on living a wonderful life. Faith is not dependent on whether you have been justly or unjustly treated. Look at Jesus. How about His disciples who were persecuted.
Faith is loving God, and trusting that He has a bigger plan. And it is more than that. It is knowing that God is loving, and knowing that He cares. And when you come to realize these things, then you also come to realize that this life we live, it is only temporary. It is meant to teach us lessons. We were born, and as such we will die.
And if you are an atheist, then so be it. I still accept you for who you are. Do you know why? Because you are one of God's children.

  24. #24

Wasn't a dream. It was real. Sorry it was so hard!!!! God is real!!!

  25. #25

    😍👍
    Lot of truth

  26. #26

The thing that gets me most with this one, is that he does say he’s still an Atheist, but later refers to himself as a former atheist. I believe there was some profound change in his belief afterwards. I’m not a member of an organized religion, but I absolutely believe in God and Jesus. You don’t have to go to a church, or be a member of a church to have a relationship in God.

  27. #27

I understand what he's saying about Christians. Many people in Christian Churches think they are passionate and zealous for God when they correct every detail of what someone else thinks or believes, or try to "fix" someone's situation, or when they help someone else in an attempt to justify themselves (people can tell when you're "helping" because you feel like you have to). In reality, the only time we are passionate for God and zealous for the Faith is when we act on genuine love for someone else, forgetting ourselves. Jesus told us to rejoice with those who rejoice, and weep with those who weep, He didn't say to try to fix people or win apologetic debates to convince people He's real.

Christians DO need to settle down: stop worrying about your own salvation and the salvation of other people and instead start focusing on when the current moment demands from your capacity to be gentle, humble, caring, and loving not just towards people, but towards all of creation. Encourage and console instead of criticizing and fear-mongering. Peace, not war, in every interaction. Trust/faith instead of fear.

  28. #28

Wow how sad. The story starts a lot like the book called The Shack. If fathers only realised what their God -given role actually is, it would save so much heart ache in this world. Alexi may you always be covered by God's grace and mercy and may you find the peace that is needed to heal fully. May the Lord bless you and keep you and make His face to shine upon you.

    😭😭😭

  30. #30

The rudest most hurtful people I ever met were so called christians, I Believe in God but don't need to be around hypocrites to do it

  31. #31

Sorry Alexi you had such a hard time. We Christians only want to share the Word of God and our testimonies with people, so people are Saved and don't spend eternity in hell. Its some times difficult getting that perfect balance, when passion for faith is fueling our defence.

  32. #32

In honor of the holiday season this story seems to have similar themes to the polar express. Only talking about God instead of Santa Claus. And the protagonist never naturally ages out of his belief in God for all we can tell.

  33. #33

Thank you for the video. I believe you. I’ve studied NDEs over 30 years. A Case for Christ by J Warner Wallace is also wonderful. He’s a former Atheist as well. On his recent podcast “ CHRISTIANITY The Problem Of Evil And The Genesis Account – Q And A With J. Warner Wallace And Sean McDowell (Podcast)” he talks about “hitting singles, not home runs” with Atheists. Christian’s want to save people – and he addresses this notion directly. Like you, Mr. Wallace is a cold case detective from Los Angeles. analytical and shrewd in his “evidence” for God and he makes his case. Fascinating. I hope you check it out sometime. Glad you’re here in the USA – merry Christmas 🎁. You’re a gift and light to us.

Who is this person who is being spoken of by the narrator at the end who says that the problem with Christians is that they can be "too passionate." That's not their problem. The problem is that they believe in the Bible unquestioningly without any idea that human beings may have had their own reasons for what they put in it, and similarly, Christians bring too much of their own human egos to their religion. That's the problem. I was a Christian I have been completely turned off of it. A lot of them especially the ones you run into online, are the meanest most egotistical bunch of people. So no, it's not coming from a good place. What comes from your ego is rarely coming from a good place.

  35. #35

I am a Christian who believes that what is revealed in NDEs is a beautiful window into heaven and the spiritual life. For example, I believe Alexie’s story and what he heard from the divine.

  36. #36

my impression of Christianity is that the God it describes is judgmental and to be feared, which goes against many of the NDE stories i’ve listened to

Coming from a guy in recovery, blaming is easier than owing responsibility for the life we create ourselves. Life circumstances can be difficult, finding relief in drugs, is temporary. It's hard to see when your in it. My eyes were opened once my mind was free and I was practicing a life in recovery. I'm greatful for the hard times, the victim mindset is gone. I see God's grace, even in the worst parts of my past. Perhaps, if you choose to, you will see it too. Thank you for sharing.
