Sacred Traditions: African Spirituality Embodied
Sep 2025
12
We are discussing embodied prayers in Yoruba and Congo religious systems, live at 6:30PM (EST) on June 10th.
Join Chief Baba Neil Clarke, Iya Amma McKen, Iya Danys Mora, Artist-Scholar Yesenia Selier, and Moderator Iya Marinieves Alba in examining dance, drumming, and song – sacred arts in Yoruba and other African and Indigenous traditions around the world. They’ll draw from their own experiences to discuss how these art forms allow the body to be a sacred vessel used to communicate with the divine realms.
