Their names, leaders, goals and common interests.

First off, a clan can be referred to as a group of people from a common ancestor, or a group united by a common interest or characteristics.

A cult on the other hand is a social group that is defined by its unusual religious, spiritual or philosophical beliefs and rituals.

The Jukuns worship a host of minor deities each with a shrine of its own.

Some of these may be public like Kenjo, Yaku and Ayo, but the majority are private cults of particular families.
