My grandma had a heart attack in 1973. She told me privately about dying and going down a long dark tunnel. She said the light at the end of the tunnel was Jesus. When she was halfway down the tunnel, Jesus told her to go back, that it was not her time. She said, “so I obeyed.” She said when she opened her eyes that she saw my cousin praying over her. She believed his prayers brought her back. Her attitude about Christianity changed strongly from before that. She was very firm that people needed to know Jesus. I was 15 years old and she said she felt safe telling me and not my mother. She said my mother would think she’d gone off her rocker and have her committed. She warned me that if I told anyone she would simply deny it. Ha! When I was in college, a book came out, talking about life after death and long, dark tunnels with a light at the end and I was shocked. I was sure she had lost it, but this was validating her experience.
I have had two experiences! (1) I shared a conversation with an Orb (2) I have had OBE's (Outer Body Experience) witnessed by a partner.
So do muslims who have NDEs come back with with strengthened faith in islam? This is skirting on the edge of saying “all roads lead to God”, directly contradicting Jesus Christ Himself.
I had a NDE while being tased by two sheriffs at the same time. I had 160,000,000 volts busting my heart with one taser in my chest and another in my back. I had a rupture happen on my heart. The doctor said i had a large bananna size knot on my heart. Believe it or not that was the most beautiful thing I have ever had happen to me. God is more than the brain can imagine. His voice is pure love and authority. It did turn my world upside down. I was abused so badly tased 6 times in total twice in the head while cuffed. My dog was kicked so hard she died a few weeks later. I was framed and told i must except the charges or they would hit me with another charge of assult on a cop. I got that charge in the back seat of a car just after asking the sheriff to please not hurt me anymore. He did he came in the back seat taser first going for my head. The last thing i remember was seeing yellow going between my eyes. I hurt for 3 months strait and where he tased my brain it caused a sleep disorder and i would wake up several times a night with lock jaw. I slept with a mouth gaurd for months. It ruined my life I had horrible panic attacks for a long time just seeing a sheriff car. And I have been able to do nothing about what he did to me. And he tased me at the hospital on video. Just seems like very few care about the golden rule.
A life after death have noting with religion to do!!
I found Dr. Long very impressive with his study. Thanks, Dr. Long. PS I noticed the time on the clock early on and was slightly shocked when it was 3:40 the next time I noticed it, almost an hour later with no sense of the time having gone by, immersed in the video.

the good DR is forgetting we are made of spirit soul and body. The spirit can leave the body and still be attached to the body via silver cord while the body may there in a dying state. I do not believe in most of these NDE because so many use agendas. If it don’t line up with biblical scripture the I don’t even entertain it.
My Grandmother, a Christian, didn't have long and confessed that she was scared about dying. The night of the day before she passed on, she was no longer afraid. She said that Jesus had come to her and let her know that she didn't have to be afraid, and that everything was OK.

At our church as part of our Lenten study we are putting on Spiritual Near Death experiences across all faiths.
I'm not sure if this qualifies as an NDE , but i ran into another person who had the exact same experiences as I went through:
Back in 1992, I was a a California police officer, who won a trip for 2 to San Diego area. When the trip time came up to go- i had just become single and decided to take my close friend and planned to let loose. Back then it was more common for off duty officers would drink alot. And the last day of our 5 day trip we went to the beach close to the airport since our flight left at 7pm back to Sacramento. We spend most of the day at the beach drinking obviously way too much and the beach area we were wading out into and swam in didnt drop off close to show like most do. We had went out a good 100 yds before your neck is going under water. I stopped at the point i could still the bottom and my best friend decided to go about 5 more feet further now unable to touch and was enjoy swimming around a small area, when i saw a shear look of terror on his face and he started yelling at me to help him because he could not swim to me. I saw him swimming as hard as he could but stayed in the same spot. So i tip toed far enough out where i was able to hook or finger tips together and pull him in to me. But i was pull out by him pulling towards me causing me to be out where he was. And no matter how hard i swam towards him i went no where. The rip tide that held me in place finally took me under the surface because all my muscles were burning from exhaustion.
I initially had the panic feeling knowing i was going to drown and finally couldn't hold my breath any longer and sucked water into my lung which to my surprise wasn't all that painful.
Instantly i found myself going from the dark under water sight to this bright white beautiful endless void. I couldn't see my physical body anymore but knew what had just happened to me. I was warm felt great and was trying to figure out where i ended up? Then it hit me that i didn't want to die and was worried about my mother getting that death notice and decided i wanted to fight to not die
Just as fast as i got there i Instantly was back in my physical body way under and swam back to the surface and knew i had to clear my lungs and vomited this huge about of sea water out and
My best friend who screaming for the life gaurds to come help- but we were too far out to hear each other. My friend shocked face started yelling at me to swim with the incoming waves, which finally worked and i later found out after comparing our experiences that i was under the under the water for several minutes- which to me felt like 5 to 10 seconds of time that passed. Of course i asked him to think about the amount of time i went under and reappeared and he was certain it was several minutes not 10 sec.
My step mother's mom had been canoeing down a rough river with her husband and flipped the canoe getting trapping under it unable to free herself from the strong water current pinning her down.
She to drowned for several minutes before her husband was able to get the canoe off her and pull her out of the water and revive her. When asked she too told me she went to a endless white room and felt no pain- only pure joy. Then like a flash was back in her body looking up at her happy husbands face.
Both of us never went through a tunnel or saw any dead friends or relatives??
So- anyone have a similar experience or have a guess where we both went to?

I had a small one when I was 11. My appendix had burst and no one knew. By the time my parents realized it and got me into the hospital it had been burst for days. In the Sixties it wasn’t a good chance of making it. I was in the hospital for months drains in and trying to help me. I remember being in blackness (it could have been a tunnel) all around me, I was floating away. Then, I heard my Mother calling me back and I responded and came back to her.
Dr. Jeffrey Long's NDERF database now has over 5,000 documented accounts. The recurring pattern of veridical perception, patients accurately describing events during clinical death, is what keeps this scientifically interesting rather than purely anecdotal.
One methodological point worth raising: NDE research needs prospective studies, like van Lommel's 2001 Lancet study following cardiac arrest patients forward, rather than retrospective recall which is vulnerable to memory reconstruction. Curious if this episode covers that distinction.
The AWARE studies (Sam Parnia et al.) tried to test veridical perception under controlled conditions using hidden targets in resuscitation rooms. Results were mixed but methodologically important, worth mentioning alongside anecdotal cases.

A year ago, I spent a week in the cardiac unit at Dartmouth-Hitchcock, during which time I was literally on the brink of death for days. I did NOT have a near death experience, but to my amazement I found I was utterly unafraid the entire time and felt the presence of my mom (dead since 1996) assuring me that I had nothing to fear. As a result, I felt calm and comfortable in a time others might have been afraid andor concerned. I was a science teacher for three decades and am well aware that there's nothing scientific about the experience, but it was none-the-less as real to me as anything measurable in the physical world.

NDEs are the only evidence I see that indicate there could be an afterlife. We need to research NDEs extensively. They could be one of the most important discoveries in history.

It’s easy to understand why Sean McDowell is quick to give credence to goofy stories since he doesn’t believe the eyewitness testimony of God in the Bible that CLEARLY and SPECIFICALLY documents the beginning of time and the 6 day 24 hour per day creation in Genesis 1&2‼️‼️either believe the Bible or get taken away by every other wind of crazy idea‼️‼️😵💫
