I don't subscribe to African spirituality, but the way she articulates it here, I strongly believe it needs to be given recognition, not demonized. Those who embrace it over other religion must not be stigmatized or branded negatively. And the lady is a poet, she speaks from the depth of her soul. 🇿🇦🔥🔥
The first book of the new testament is Matthew. The title of the first verse is: Ancestors of Jesus. When we Africans honour our ancestors we are berated. I come from a Christian background but I'm no longer Christian. I am decolonising my mind. I practice Africanity and I believe in one God, Creator of all things. Monotheism actually started here in Africa.

The best way to worship nature is to live fully in tune with it. It's not as easy as we think: we certainly shouldn't be driving the ordinary cars nor fly on airplane nor use anything synthetic or factory made. Also, return all organic matter direct back to the soil and that includes human waste and so we shouldn't be using the ordinary flush toilet. Ideally we should be gardening and eating fresh: spending time in nature. Ideally We shouldn't be obsessed with money nor possessions as it tends to disturb human relations.
We also need to discourage all gm species including gm humans which are toxic to nature and encourage organic species which are in tune with nature including all humans who are aspiring to live fully in tune with nature.
Our ancestors are all embedded in our DNA, they are back alive through us. The best way to honour and worship our ancestors is deep meditation which searches within and all information that can help us in life will flow through all that is recorded on our DNA. If we can live by what we find from deep within us we would be honouring our ancestors big times. This process tends to be enhance when we live healthy and combine this with fasting. This will repair our DNA and enhance our meditation.
Hearing that our children are our ancestors reincarnated really hit me. My daughter has been telling me for the last month "I loved you before you." Never really understood what she meant. She finally said that she means she loved me before I was born.

I have tried to be christian and been a Muslim but it's all got me asking myself the same question feeling like I'm lost internal! But once I decided to stop doing none of them and tracking back to my traditional name given to me by birth,I realized that feed my soul to be connected to a something more than religion but rather a spiritual meaning life as an African. Thank you Queen for the teaching. I would just like to add my opinion. Christian religion and African Spirituality are never and will never be the same. The only think that makes them similar is that they're practiced by human beings. I also understand the parallels you make in terms of the practices done on either sides differ but are still essentially doing the same thing but in different ways. I also know and live in Southern Africa where indigenous cultures are still practiced along with Christian practices, through hybridization. I understand that it is some's ministry to do that and some of us are "Choose one or the other". I wrote a whole thesis and conducted research with the initiative to make these parallels, encouraging the hybridization of Christianity and African Spirituality based on my personal, societal and academic experience. I thought I achieved this. However done and dusted with that, it became forceful, unnatural to mix these two together. I know you talk about old traditional christian values but truth is, those aren't the ones millions of people follow because they aren't disclosed. Truth is, the curated version of the what we know as Christianity since Constantine is a total political device. The essence of it stems from is inherently violent, and the opposite of the universal laws
