Veridical Near-Death Experiences involve the experiencer making verifiable observations while clinically dead that were later verified to be accurate after they were resuscitated. For example, in the late 1970s, Sue Saunders was working at Hartford Hospital as a respiratory therapist. One day, she was helping to resuscitate a man in the emergency room, whose electrocardiogram had gone flat. Medics were shocking him repeatedly with no results while Saunders was trying to give him oxygen. In the middle of the resuscitation, someone else took over for her and she left. A few days later, she encountered this patient in the ICU. He spontaneously commented, “You looked so much better in your yellow top.” She was shocked at this remark, for she'd been wearing a yellow smock the previous day. “Yeah,” the man continued, “I saw you. You had something over your face and you were pushing air into me. And I saw your yellow smock.” Saunders confirmed that she'd had something over her face – a mask – and that she'd worn the yellow smock while trying to give him oxygen, while he was unconscious and without a heartbeat.
That's what i want。That is my desire。Just to be the presence of the holy god。Just to be near him。Just to be loved by him。
I remember hearing her testimony a long time ago and to this day I still think about it!
This is so ridiculously profound!!! ❤ What she shared about the water standing still! Don't you see it?! When the Israelites went through the Red Sea…it says the Rock (which was Christ, The Water of Life) followed them…the water stopped and stood at attention for them to walk through….are you getting it? Are you seeing it? The water stopped and stood on either side of the Israelites..why?! BECAUSE HE WAS WITH THEM!!!! 🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯✝️✝️✝️✝️ He was walking through with them!! Psalm 77:19!!! "Your way was through the sea, your path through the great waters; yet your footprints were unseen." His presence is so great that all of creation stands still! A beach with water but no sea?
I love the way she talks. This is one of the best NDE stories I have ever heard and the picture she painted of Jesus and Heaven is so clear. Truly amazing. Everything must stop and pay honor in his presence. WOW!!! ("I see all and I know all in the darkness and the light, and I save.") Thank you both.
Oh my goodness, I can't believe how she describes Jesus is the way I experience him in my daily visions! I often am all different ages when I am with him, and when I am a child or infant sized he cradles me warmly in his arms or holds me tenderly against his shoulder exactly like she depicted and rocks me gently. It is the most beautiful sense of pure safety and security with him. And oh, how playful and fun he is! My favorite word to describe him, apart from Beautiful (I too could simply gaze at him for eternity), is Merry. He is so merry, relaxed and playful, with all the joyful innocence of a child. And yet with a razor sharp wit that makes me bust a gut laughing. He is such a tease! It is just like she describes, where I can argue and wrestle with him and he will listen patiently and attentively, and then give a quip that puts everything into perspective and then I give in and we both laugh like best friends. And yes, he can be sober and serious when need be, and often grieves with me in deep healing empathy when I grieve. But only when need be – at his utmost core is a merry, irrepressible joy. He takes me to serene places that are meaningful to me like she describes and bids me rest after hard days of intense chronic pain and suffering, and everything about him and these locations he chooses refresh my soul so I can face another hard day of pain. The telepathic communication is so beautiful because he instantly understands every thought, emotion, motivation and context in me, and I understand a fullness to what he is saying that is more than his simple words. There is zero misunderstanding of me or difficulty communicating as I am instantly and fully known and understood, and always loved. And it's just plain fun and easier than speaking. I love how she describes the telescopic vision and how it is impossible to feel sad in heaven – just like how C.S. Lewis describes in Narnia's heaven. I get goosebumps and am filled with the wildest joy to hear of other people experiencing him like I do! Oh, he is everything we ever could hope for and beyond what we could ever imagine! ❤❤❤
I have found comfort in NDE's after the sudden death of my 21 year old son, read both of John Burkes books multiple times and regularly listen to his podcasts when I need strength. These ads though, are ridiculous! Come on John! Is this all about the money for you? Unfortantely, for those of us who are holding on by a thread, we need to know that these NDE's and your podcast is not about MONEY!
Love this so much, as well as the entire interview. I have one question. Why would leaves fall when there is no death in heaven? (when the observation of no shadows were brought up)
I would like an explanation or an answer to this question. I died as a child and went to heaven. I remember it like it was yesterday and yet I was kicked out of heaven and sent back to the earth realm to suffer an absolute, horrible, horrible, horrible, horrible childhood I was beaten tortured you name it everything but being molested so what kind of lesson did I learn from that I was already in heaven what’s the point other than just suffering for no reason🖕🏻

I really needed to hear this. It gives me so much hope over my son who passed away. I have been stuck in grief for three years. I will release him to the Lord in trust so I can make room inside for God to do His work in me. Thank you. 🙏🏼
