I am 79 years old, I was pronounced dead when I was 13, at least four times in my life. I have wished that I wouldn’t have come back.
From everything I know, have seen, experiences with people I know who have had NDEs, I am quite sure I would not want to come back. Would I come back? Only if our Lord asked me to. Other than that, Nope. It's not death I'm afraid of.

My aunt had an experience like this when she was five. She said she was shown heaven and her mother weeping on earth and was given the choice of staying with Jesus or returning to life. She chose to return.

I had a near death experience on July 23rd 1984 after having 2 cardiac arrests as a result of a Traumatic brain injury. I definitely did not want to come back to this life.

In the initial experience of the afterlife, and he leads people astray by implying all will go to Heaven, or a place of Peace and Joy. After the initial experience, there is a life-review and judgement. We are all eternal yes, and that eternity will be spent in Heaven or Hell, based on our choices on Earth. God has called us to everlasting life through the saving Grace of His son Jesus. He explains the pre-judgment after death Experience. Universalism, that is, all end up in Heaven, was condemned by the early Church. The good news is Heaven is real, but so is Hell. Jesus died on a Cross to save his followers that accept his grace, being a “good person” is not enough for salvation…this doctor gives a secular one sided explanation devoid of God’s call to holiness…

When each of us dies permanently, we go to one of two places: hell which is eternal damnation (separation from God) OR the Lord's Heaven (which only those who have accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord can enter). Period

Some Near Death Experiences, known as 'Peak in Darien Experiences', involve encounters with dead people who were still believed to be alive at the time, or were complete strangers to the experiencer. For Example, Cardiologist Pim Van Lommel has shared the case of a patient who, while undergoing cardiac arrest, encountered his deceased grandmother and a strange man who looked at him very lovingly, but whom he couldn't recognize. Over a decade later, the patient's mother, who was now on her deathbed, revealed to her son that he'd actually been born from an extramarital affair, and that her husband wasn't his real father. His biological father was actually a Jewish man who'd been killed during the German Occupation of the Netherlands in World War 2. She also gave her son a photograph she'd kept of his biological father, and he instantly recognized him as the strange man who'd been looking at him lovingly during his Near Death Experience over a decade ago.
What good is this if no one is told the Gospel of Jesus Christ? Paul said in the Scripture that it was no lawful for him to speak about what happened to him (whether he was caught up into heaven or in a vision), so he didn't. What matters is that there is ONE Gospel and that is what the Bible tells us. There is judgment coming, at death for sure. Do I know Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior or NOT? If I do not know Christ as my Savior, it doesn't matter what "near-death experience" I've had. I will enter eternal judgment, which Jesus said will happen to more people than not. I will pay eternally for all my sins against a Holy God, period. Only if Christ has saved my soul by applying His righteousness to me, will I have eternal life, not hell. So cut out this nothing burger talk. None of it matters without Jesus Christ.
I refer my friends who seem agnostic to near death experiences. It is SO very reassuring to hear these experiences.
I’m skeptical that the NDE is indicative of an afterlife. Isn’t it plausible that the NDE patterns are merely a natural phenomenon associated with approaching the end of life? The fact that the pattern of this experience is so universally observed seems to point to a fundamental biological function. The hypothesis of the NDE rests on the assumption that the person was “clinically dead.” However, isn’t it possible that our instruments for determining death are not precise enough to capture the moment of death? The term Near Death in the NDE points to this inconsistency. Near death implies not yet dead. The fact that some return before crossing the threshold of actual death doesn’t establish that they experienced the afterlife; only that they approached death and recovered.

I have read about descriptions of near death experiences that have been terrifying, describing Hell. How is that reconciled with the beautiful Heavenly description that Dr Long says is the eternity for everyone regardless of belief and earthly life behavior?
Not everyone goes to heaven. Unless these are all people who have accepted Jesus as Savior, they are not seeing heaven. The only thing the Bible talks about that is even similar to this is Stephen while he was being stoned and he clearly was not dead yet.
You must read the book "Proof of Heaven", written by a non -believer in God or a Heaven, a neurosurgeon who was a total skeptic regarding NDEs, Eben Alexander, MD. Until he had an NDE himself, under circumstances where his bodily functions were being monitored in a hospital, he thought it was all BS.
I highly recommend " Many Lives Many Masters " the author – Dr. Brian Weiss has written numerous books supporting this research in great detail .

This planet has seen some very bad people. Would Hitler be welcome into this realm? Have any of your patients who had a near death experience been greeted in a very different way because of the bad life they lived? Or is everyone forgiven their sins and march into this realm with no consequences? I'm a scientist and I understand empirical evidence. You certainly have collected a lot of data so no one can say it's anecdotal or that your methodology is questionable. And I do believe there is a phenomenon taking place here. All of Humanity will not have a beautiful, blissful life after death. This video is sooo misleading!! There was no mention of the horrific experiences people have had in a place away from the presence of God.
There are not many pathways to God. JESUS Christ is the only way to God. THE God of the Bible 'So loved the world…' He is the way the Truth and the Life. He is the light of the world. He rescued humanity from the dominion of darkness. There are no universal experiences with religion. There are no ways to earn righteousness. False lights and beings at times come to deceive or divert thru an NDE – away from truth so the sinner continues to live in the sin of unbelief. If we confess our sins and receive the free gift of grace we are pardoned. Eternity is either in Heaven or in Hell. No evolution or new form of the soul exists. Pray and ask God the Father to reveal Himself. He left His Spirit to lead and guide you. 1 Corinthians 2: 6-16

NREs are not "extraordinary experiences". They are reported by about 20% of people in clinical settings that have lost brain function. Does that mean only 20% had the experience? Or only 20% recalled them or were willing to speak of them. But as this has been reported worldwide for thousands of years. Hardly extrordinary. Only 10% of the population claim they cannot write easily or sometimes at all with their right hnd. Only 10% of people have this belief, which would make it extraordinary. What's truly extraordinary are the 1% of the population that insist they do not dream. Science can record REM sleep, but cannot demonstrate that this translates into dreaming. Or huge rocks in a desert that move by themselves.
Further, all the things reported by NDErs, also are reported are also reported by mediums, mystics, psychics, persons awake and not in danger of death and persons asleep or but having a vivid, detailed experience unlike any dream, the memory of which does not fade even decades later. There is nothing extraordinary about any of this as this is common to the lives ad experiences of humans as far back as writing or art exists.

Great interview. I don't like the 'extraordinary evidence,' there is no place in the scientific method for that, the scientific method doesn't need any help, nothing extraordinary is required. This is just emotional silliness.
