On August 2, 2023, Johnny was riding his motorcycle without a helmet when he lost control and crashed. He suffered a severe traumatic brain injury, significant blood loss, and entered a coma. Doctors gave his family a grim prognosis. With a Glasgow Coma Scale score of just 3, they told his wife she would likely need to feed him and care for him in a wheelchair for the rest of his life.

But while unconscious, Johnny experienced something he says changed his life forever.

He shares his vivid memory of crawling to Jesus, lifting His right leg, kissing His shin, and hearing these unforgettable words:

*”Johnny, you are going to get better, but you cannot stay here.”*

Although his brain injury left him with memory loss, Johnny says this experience remains as clear to him today as if it happened only moments ago.

Against the expectations of his doctors, Johnny recovered. Today he is walking, talking, and sharing how this encounter with Jesus transformed his life and strengthened his faith beyond anything he could have imagined.
