In response to Kim's question regarding whether siddhis can be 'invoked' on purpose – meditation is good as it is one of the ways of getting to BE one's true self as Absolute Being or Consciousness (NOT the body mind complex).Any siddhis that one may get are but way points and actually distractions in what is called kundalini awakening. This has been known for thousands of years in the east. The west is just scratching the surface. Suffice it to say the pursuit of siddhis or psi powers is not the right motive per se, however curing depression or addictions are bona fide motives for meditation and breath work also called pranayama.
Do look into Advaita Vedanta philosophy and teachings of for instance Ramana Maharishi that will answer all your questions in the most scientific manner possible. It will take time and effort but honest sincere investigation will not be disappointed. It goes to absolute first principles that does not take ANYTHING for granted, which Science does incidentally by separating the Observer from the Universe, which is given the lie in Quantum physics and collapse of the wave function…

When I was just a young boy, I had several experiences of things and places I'd never seen or been to before, yet had a momentary feeling that I had indeed been there before. They lasted only a 2-3 seconds. Haven't had one since becoming an adult.

It is also shown the way how to mitigate this cycle and done thru’ higher consciousness seeking practice where it shows our consciousness with the 5 physical aggregates connecting make that connection in your brain to create the karmic experience leading to attachments then creating fetters and suffering ! Reversal to pure consciousness without a recording finally stops the travel forward! This is the gist of the Buddha’s brilliant philosophy and many including in modern society perhaps have shortened this cycle to Nirvana! Let me share few of such related stories. First one is my personal one. I am Muslim and reincarnation is not part of Islam as such. I vividly remember what I felt while travelling through, a place known Mansehra, for Muzafar Abad where I used to teach a professor of economics in AJK university. So while travelling, at certain points, I suddenly recalled my some past experiences of travelling through the place. I recalled that I had travelled through that place while sitting on the deck of a bus sometimes in the past and could relate my current experience with the previous one despite the fact that I had never been through that place before or in my past life. This reincarnation related experience still haunts me and keeps me wondering and this is the first time I’m reporting it to someone else. The second experience is related to my mother where my late grandmother, happened to have slapped my mom during her sleep, in dream, but having real slapping signs and pain on her face even when sho suddenly woke up. The story she narrated was that my grandmother came to her and slapped on her face on that daytime incident where my mother couldn’t or didn’t made tea or food on a request by my father. So my grandmother, while slapping her, said why did you not make food for my Son (my father) when he asked you to prepare for him. So my mother woke up subsequently and prepared food for my father. My father endorsed that entire story while crying like a child to remember his mother. Let me share third example where my father, being army officer, was deputed in Quetta Pakistan, got news of serious illness of my elder brother, the first one only at that time, and booked the railway ticket and was ridding back to home in Mirpur AJK. When he was travelling, train was still within Questta, he got flash back of my ill brother, armed open, and crying for father to take him in his arms and labs. And when father took him in his labs he died. Remember my father was still in Quetta and in the train and have experienced this death incidence of his son. And when father reached home, and got news of death of his beloved son, same time when he had taken him in his lab there in train. My mother told that entire last moments of his death time, my brother had focused his eyes on door and was saying papa papa and died while saying papa papa. All of these incidents were unique and we didn’t have clues to what phenomenon were they. I’m sharing this with you all to hear your thoughts on these experiences. Please do share your thoughts. Let me add my recent experience where my mother in law of seriously sick and had gone into comma. She remained in comma state for almost few hours. Fortunately she recovered and on my enquiry she narrated everything we spoken about her during that period where she was in comma state. I have shared this incidence in a hope that it may help scientists understanding the issues under discussion. Stay blessed all!

Everybody speaks about life after death. What about life before life?
I will tell you. To proove there is life after death two of you debating should die and your deaths should be medically examined by a team of doctors and confirmed that you are dead . Other wise semi concious people will always come to senses and explain the dreams of some odd experience as life after death .
Why two people to die is the other fellow is a witness as you come back to life after your death of course you can always narrate the stories . Are you ready to die now .? !!! Is it not stupid . Gentle men Unconciousness, anesthesia, and death all are same only when you die you do not come back to life .
I fell both unconcious and under anesthesia and the very fact iam writing now is that I have not died yet.
Gentle men there is no life after death .
But I very seriously feel that the Karma means action is an entity that takes a rebirth immedietly of all the persons or animals to experience the bad or good deeds that they perform in this life . Thou art that .

There's only one ways to look at this and it's very simple either you believe in God and is words in the bible our Owners Manual or you don't.. God says in Ecclesiastes 9:5 and 6 and 10 " The living know that they will die but the dead know not anything ,neither have they any more a reward; for the memory of them is forgotten ..And 9 "What ever thy hands find to do do it with all you might for there is no work,nor wisdom in the grave where you are going .. There is more but you can read it for your self .. So what God is saying is when you die your dead your not floating around not talking to loved one. NOTHING .. Now if you believe in God you must believe in Satan in Revelation 12:9 it says he deceive the whole world And John 8 44 calls him a liar and the father of lies Matthew 8:26 you read he causes disharmony and disorder but in Corinthians 14:33 says God is not the author of confusion .. Satan loves to confuse the world to God's truth he is now the ruler of thIs world if you don't believe that look at what's going on in the world now but his time is nearing the end …Its your choice
Imagine this. What if, there is no life after death. We just cease to exist. Exactly like when we are under anesthesia or on.a coma. And they know about this. And they hide this knowledge from the public, and created these religions and heavens and hells exactly to keep people in some kind of order? Obedient? Because if there is nothing after death, this means there’s no punishment, no rewards. Do you realize what that means? This knowledge would turn the whole planet into a massive jungle! Humans would turn into beasts, nobody would put up with suffering. Theyd steal, kill, do whatever they pleased like “theres no tomorrow…”
Is this maybe why they themselves are not religious and the worst people, sacrificing humans, eating babies, killing etc? They know they’ll never be punished so they just do whatever the hell they want?
But then who created us? How do we exist? Where are we? Why are we here? What’s the point of all this? Even if there’s no point, how did we get here, who made us? Crazy.
Did the woman with the shattered car window think that maybe her grandmother didn't like her that much if one of her last conscious acts was to go to anohtr part of the world and vandalise her car?
