I, for one, am certain.

According to the Hebrew ritual of the Old Testament, a lamb was slaughtered, its blood collected in a cup to be given to the priest, who poured it out in our name, in the Holy of holies, in the Temple of God in Jerusalem, for our salvation, because the lamb was offered as a sacrifice.
Therefore, today we must believe that God the Father freely gave us His Lamb, His beloved Son Jesus Christ, the Redeemer, and that through His bloody Crucifixion, we receive God's salvation.
We must understand that Jesus Christ became the Lamb of God, offering Himself as a sacrifice for us, but He is also the High Priest. That is why He shed His perfect blood on the heavenly mercy seat, in our name, so that, through our faith in His finished work, our names might be written in the Lamb's Book of Life.
