The Exchange #1 – Can You Be Spiritual but Not Religious?

In the very first episode of The Exchange, we explore this common phrase and ask an important question: Can someone truly be spiritual without being religious? Looking directly at the Bible, we discuss what real looks like from a biblical perspective and how faith is meant to shape both our beliefs and our daily lives.

  1. Our flesh has a religion of its own. It is to worship self. This is why instruction by God (Jesus) is imperative to salvation. As parents we educate our young to follow what we say instead of their own inclinations.

  2. Great video enjoyed the study, but I don’t think the devil creates false religions to get people to heaven. Sincerity or belief in a system will never get you to the kingdom.. The Shia Muslims believe that all infidels must die. these are the ones that put on suicide vest and commit suicide to kill the infidels. You can’t get much more sincere about your faith than that..

  3. Faith comes by hearing the Word of God. The devil's believe and Tremble.
However they don't want to be governed by the Word made Flesh. They are Lost. Any man or Women can be saved. However there is a process that our Beutiful Lord has for man.

    Grace, faith and Hope.
When we receive forgiving Grace power. We also believe in Grace power to keep us from sinning. Faith is responding to the Grace/ Power help from above.
    Then we have Hope.

    Grace + Faith = Hope.

Overcomer's will be saved. Depending on Christ.

  4. Excellent, excellent discussion. Question: Is everyone that never heard the name of Christ eternally doomed? Or are those who are influenced by the Holy Spirit, saved because they choose to live the best life they can according to His guidance? Example: For years there was a pair of mentally challenged gentlemen that took daily walks around our neighborhood. Always with a smile on their faces, always a nod or a quiet Hi. So, are people that are incapable of understanding salvation lost because of a low I.Q.? I find it liberating, even hopeful, that God knows our hearts, and that is the only standard that matters.
