The Rapture
Unfortunately, Jesus forgot to tell his followers about The Rapture while he was on earth, and no other followers of Jesus thought it up for the first 1800 years of Christianity.
The concept of The Rapture did not come from the teachings of Jesus. John Nelson Darby in 1827 invented the idea that Jesus would come and take away “believers” before a period of tribulation. When Darby’s idea was included in the study notes of the Scofield Reference Bible in 1909, people became confused and thought it was from scripture since it was “in” the Bible.
It is comforting to think you belong to a group of people that will not have to go through as much suffering as other people. So it was easy for the concept to catch on.
I have read and listened to over a thousand NDEs. Many, many people, both Christian and non Christian, encounter Jesus on the other side. This is the first reference to the 1827 concept of The Rapture that I’ve heard anyone talk about.
God comes to us where we are, giving us what we need to move forward in love and compassion.
Maybe this belief helps her cope with the world as she experiences it.

Billy Kay rains is very clear on the point that she was not a Christian when she tried taking her own life it wasn't until later that she accepted Christ everything that she is saying is the truth
