Eye-witness testimony becomes very reliable when you have 50,000 people reporting their near-death experiences. Since 1975, when Raymond Moody published his first book about them, I would not believe in them today if only 100 people had come forward with such stories. But no, the number is in the tens of thousands. VOLUME is what turns poor evidence into good evidence.

Atheists and skeptics like Neil Degrass Tyson and Richard Dawkins easily defer to other scientists when their worldviews align – for instance, a scientist who is also an atheist.
On issues about which they have no expertise, they would freely opine and offer copious insight even when many real experts in the field disagree.
NDEs have been extensively studied with rigorous scientific methods. There are researchers like Dr Sam Parnia who is a critical care physician.
Bruce Greyson who created the Greyson NDE Scale. This is a tool for systematically measuring and categorizing NDEs. And there is Janice Holden.
Many of these researchers say that NDEs are real and they are not hallucinations or due to chemical limitations in the brain.
Our dear atheists have to reject that because they are inflexible materialists. Anything that cannot be explained materially didn’t happen.
Sadly, Hell is a spiritual place. There are no physical gadgets or equipment for determining its location or for ascertaining its temperature. Those who doubt its existence and, as a result, reject the salvation of Christ will have themselves and their idol of science to blame.

What about lady who died on table saw doctors trying to bring her back moved up 2 floors saw two nurses talking & when she was brought & told of what she saw & heard & when they located the nurses she said she saw talking the Nurses confirmed that is exactly what they were talking about.
Its stories like this that has convinced it is real. People are just so narrow minded. This is ignorance that Neil is talking.
If science dismissed it because it can't measure it doesn't mean it is not true, because there is a lot of evidence that is true, they only dismissed this evidence because they don't fit to measurable materialistic instruments.
I'm a fan of Dr. Neil deGrasse Tyson, although I'm not intelligent enough to keep up with him. Having said that, I've had an encounter with a ghost. Although science teaches us much, science cannot explain what I clearly experienced. For all the Hubbel and the James Webb Scientific Telescope are teaching us, we can't yet definitively say that there is any life on other planets. Having said that, I firmly believe that there is life on other planets.
There is a video of Clint Walker, the actor in the TV series "Cheyene", description of his ski accident at Mammoth Ski Resort in the Eastern Sierra. He had a accident out on the slopes in which a ski pole penetrated his heart. He was transported off the slopes and the doctors classified his as dead . . .I recommend the video. . .It is available on You tube.
This is kind of wild, it seems like Neil deGrasse Tyson knows nothing about actual NDE or NDE research. The analogy about the lights and operating theatre and message shows a total misunderstanding.

According to Neil Degrasse Tyson we all won the lottery to exist. If we won the lottery and then that's it, could we ever win it again? If the answer is no, then is our realization of existance gone forever? Forever can't even be difined. If the answer is yes, we could win it again, then his theory is wrong! Like waking up from a deep sleep. It would have to be your same soul, your realization, reincarnation, or something from a place greater than all of us (God). Young children talking about past lives and near-death experiences prove this I believe!

He has a right to his own opinion….There has been, and still is, so much corruption in science, and so many previously held theories reached through the scientific method that have been fudged and debunked that THERE’S NO WAY anyone in his right mind can have the audacity to think that “If science doesn’t say it, it can’t be true.” So many times science DID say it in prestigious peer reviewed journals, esteemed colleges, universities and school textbooks….only to later learn that IT WASN’T TRUE. This is what makes what he says so wrong and unreasonable.
I’ve never had a NDE, but I’ve read so many books about them that I know they’re real. And they’re far more than ‘personal testimonies’. They’ve been categorized and studied extensively by scientific organizations for well over a century, and those studies have produced irrefutable evidence and an undeniable pattern. If they were merely ‘personal experiences’ that undeniable pattern wouldn’t exist and each experience would be distinctly different.
Tyson and those like him are what The Word calls ‘willfully ignorant’. They’ve predetermined to reject Higher Truth, and that’s their right. However, that right will hold no weight once they stand face to face with what they wasted a lifetime trying to debunk and explain away. That day is vastly approaching, too.

Oh but the NDEs contain many real elements to them and were demonstrated as such. Veridical perception has already been demonstrated, even with no brainwaves. And they can go to another room and see such specific things like someone else being operated that they would have no other ways of seeing. And who said it has never happened that someone saw a message?
Mr. Tyson says that divinity would be easily demonstrated and would be thoroughly investigated. That's not true. One thing that not many folks realize is that people would to go such great lengths to not only confirm their own existing beliefs as well as disbelieve anything that they don't want to. Read the story of Ignaz Semmelweis. See the miracles of David Hawkins. He talked to a mute girl with catatonia and she healed there immediately! Why isn't it being talked about widely? Tyson does it here in this very video!
I am a big fan of Neil and I agree with scientific approach to all subjects. However, he seems emotional regarding NDE subject and not scientific at all. The inability to scientifically prove something is not a proof of its non existence. Also, scientific reasoning starts by studying all unkown events with an open mind, specially if you have thousands of reports of different people consistently talking about the same experiences in a similar way.

In psychology cases like Near death experiences Xenoglossy Reincarnation etc investigations are carried out by Psychiatrists Neuro psychiatrists Psychologists physicians. Apart from using medical instruments eye witness account experiences of the subject everything forms part of the investigations.
Net result is even now near death experiences are neither proved nor disproved unequivocally.

Neil degrease is not a specialist or even a neuroscientist in NDE so everything and anything he says on the subject cannot be taken any further than just an opinion backed by bias he is not in the field of NDE
Unfortunately for Neil there are records of NDE's in different parts of world in a time that was before Jesus Christ walked this earth. And documented by regions who had no contact with each other and they all exhibited the markings of your typical modern NDE. Soul Leaves Body, See's themselves dead, sees their surroundings, Goes to a Peaceful Realm, See's a life review and dead friends and relatives, Get's told it's not their time, Returns to body.
What heats me up about Neil is I'll be fine if he just brushed off NDE's ALTHOUGH 100,000,000 people said they've experienced them. But he makes me made because he'll happily talk about Alternate and Multi universes with so much optimism. It's almost like he has some vendetta against an afterlife.
