An ICU nurse spent years studying near-death experiences in cardiac arrest patients, and what she found is fascinating.
In this video, I’m talking about Penny Sartori, an ICU nurse who earned her PhD researching near-death experiences in hospitalized intensive care patients. Her work looked at people whose hearts stopped, who were resuscitated, and who later reported what they experienced during that time.
What I find so interesting is that this was studied in a clinical setting. These patients were monitored. Their heart rate, blood pressure, resuscitation timeline, and medical events were documented. That gives us a very different way to look at near-death experiences.
When dealing with any medically related events or medical emergencies, please communicate with your primary health care provider.

Julie, latest scientific information shows that the brain exits 3-5 minutes after death. It could explain, patients seeing a bright light waiting for them, a place of serenity, and they don't want to come back. That also needs to be taken into consideration.
How many people went into cardiac arrest? How many of those had NDE’s? How many of those said they were Christian’s?
I just had a massive heart attack 6/4/2026
I didn't have or remember an experience ❤
Adding to this, I never fully lost consciousness. It felt like my soul had been torn is half. The worldly side was scared and concerned. The other half was completely at peace and ready for death. As doctors were frantically working on me and a priest was reading last rites, I chose to accept the side at peace, during which time I experienced numbers 2-4 on your list. Seeing this episode was amazing to me, as it is fascinating that my experience was so similar to the experiences of others.

I died at the age of 10 years old during an operation I was having for a tumor that was lodged in my ear.
Ironically it was on my 10th birthday.
On that day, I had an NDE.
Near Death Experience.
Which, I wish was labeled
“a death experience”
as I was clinically dead.
Why, when I left my physical body and saw it lying there, I didn’t find it strange I do not know.
As I floated above the room, I watched – what I know now were the Doctors trying to save my physical life.
I tried to tell them I was fine but to no avail.
I then traveled at an incredible speed into what I can only call – a dark vastness.
I came out into incredible light.
Lights of every color.
Colors that don’t exist in this reality.
Each color contained information about my soul.
Where I was in my souls development.
Who I was – who I had been and future potential existences.
I jumped through these lights of consciousness, as dolphins would jump through waves of water.
Soaking up the information as much as I could.
I ( at some point ) spoke with someone, whom at this moment in my existence – I believe was my higher self.
I was told It was not my time to be there.
I could stay if I wanted.
I was then told what I would have to experience back in my physical life, in this particular lifetime, should I choose to return.
I choose to return.
This is what I learned from my NDE experience:
God is an energy of love – not an entity.
You do not need any organized religion to live in a spiritual state.
Organized Religion does not exist beyond this physical realm.
There is no such thing as sin.
Your physical existence here is only an experience of learning.
All your pain has purpose, use your pain for purpose.
More often than not religion really creates a blockage toward true spirituality.
You have been, you are and you will always be.
Existence is all a process with no end.
We need to enjoy the living in the process.
Sometimes we are in the middle, sometimes beginning and sometimes we are at the end but we always are and always will be.
So, much of existing is getting out of your own way.
Time is illusion and not linear.
We perceive it as such but it does not exist as such.
The best way to describe it, is, it’s happening all at once sort of as a spiral within itself.
A way I can help you understand this, is with this example.
As you look up in the sky and observe the stars, a lot of them have burned out but yet you are seeing them as they are currently existing.
In a sense you are looking back in time.
Also the time frame you are currently existing in, is different than the time frame that is happening on the opposite side of the earth …. but in concurrence.
If you are in the USA and call a friend in India – at that same moment you both are in different time frames and yet, you both are correct in your perceptions.
We exist in our physical selfs but briefly.
There is no Heaven or Hell.
No judgements are made of your physical lives experiences.
It’s only about the growth of your soul and the growth of the others you touch.
Leave ALL hate and judgement out of your mind – it only damages your own soul development.
There is only love and consciousness.
You are in a constant state of learning and honing your soul energy.
You neither are rewarded for good nor punished for bad.
A hard concept.
You collect the energy you create basically through karma.
You will feel the energy you have created in others from their perspective, after you leave this physical plane of existence.
We travel through existence in soul clusters.
That is why sometimes when you meet a person for the first time and they seem familiar to you it’s because they are.
Everyone’s physical journey is correct.
Whatever sexuality that exists in you is correct.
The expression of your sexual self, does not take away the love you feel for others.
Although some feel a sense of security with monogamy, it really is a false sense of security.
Do not choke on the vomit our thoughts create in our minds.
You are born with a heart and an asshole !
You need both to survive, just be careful which one you let drive you !
In the same manner do not create the conclusion first and then begin creating the “facts” your mind needs to believe in – in order to assemble the conclusion …. that you are moving toward.
No one or an experience can take your partner away from you / unless your partner really wants to journey on.
They and you are
experiencing your physical lives exactly as you have chosen to learn.
If they are Christians, that is the correct path for them.
If they are Hindu, that is the path they have chosen to learn through and also is correct.
As is true with any other faith or even atheist, the path they have created to learn in – is absolutely correct – for them … as is yours.
Keep on your path and let others learn through theirs.
Now having said this here are some lessons:
Love yourself but not to the point of piety.
Let go of negative people.
You cannot change them.
Forgive ( and mean it ) but let them go.
Forgiveness is the key to healing your soul.
Even if they are family, it’s the only way to heal yourself.
DNA can get in the way.
Be yourself – everyone else is taken.
Fall in love with people who make you laugh.
Remember, you can give yourself an orgasm but you cannot tickle yourself.
It is more important to like your partner than to love them.
If you like them, love will show up but if you love them and doubt liking them …. you will have a hard road to travel and resentment will grow.
Last and most important, be kind.
You create your own happiness and you alone delete it.
Water ….. Steam …. and Ice …. are all the same things …. but their experiences – change them, into how they currently exist and how they are able to move about.
You are powerful and valuable.
Laugh and love and live.
Death is a vacation, you have paid for in advance – have no fear.
Again, you are valuable, believe it for it is true.
Love yourself, as God loves you.
❤️
Neal
For the different percentages was there a difference in time of near death person was out?
I look forward to death…im not afraid,im deserving of it…
I have no medical condition, im healthy but im a DNR,no treatments…my family is aware…i do not want to come back to this world
ANYONE that is not Born again will be in hell for eternity. John 3:3 KJV
“Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.”
❤I am so Thankful, We Born again Christians, are save by Grace, in Faith alone by Christ alone for ETERNITY. ❤
Ephesians 2:8-9 KJV "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.".
Romans 10:9 KJV That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
The best is when dismissive doctors, scientists, PhD's, etc have an NDE and do a 180 in their beliefs.
Jesus is Lord!!!!!
It’s our spirit. We are simply souls that have an earthly body.
My mother has congestive heart failure and I’m really worried about her. She doesn’t eat, she lays in a bed all day because of her polyneuropathy. I’m trying to watch as much and read as much as I can to understand what she is experiencing. She does take the medicine that is prescribed to her but I fear that I’m slowly losing her.
Near death is one thing. Being taken in spirit is another. It happened to me and I know it is real.
Yahuwah Bless.
I had a NDE. Mine was right into a waiting room. Most recent dead friends….. which were 5. I was given a message to ones sister. I couldn’t have known. It made it real.
Just because a NDE experience occurs doesn’t infer another life after this one; it could be a natural process of the brain shutting down, as this nurse mentioned this is a minority view, this could be similar to a dream where no pain occurs, out of body experience, etc.
when are you going to get to the actual experiences
I just looked for this book on amazon. There are only 3 copies going for about $400.
I had times there is a smell that's not normal in the room. Sometimes there is a heavy feeling.
The same time perception happens if you doze off lightly and there will be a song playing, your dreams are vivid, sort of coming from the front of your head and seem to go on for a long time – like hours – but then you wake and that song is still playing and you realise you dropped off for a few seconds.
I did not enjoy this new death experience video. 0/5 stars. I do not recommend.
So what is the explanation for the majority of individuals that do not have a nde? There seems to be a real lack of interest in trying to understand this part of the story. Many of these individuals are in cardiac arrest longer than some of those that report a nde.

cool
my GOD you like to hear yourself talk !!!!!!!!!! sooooo frustrating !!!!!!
Most human beings are going to hell when they die.
What!? There is a phD program in Near Death Experience?
My dad is in Palliative Care at home. He's not eating much he feels like he's choking. He is 92… Fell 10 stairs backwards and broke his neck and upper spine and survived. He also had surgery and survived. However the surgery was successful but now he's having other complications. My mom signed a DNR because of his age and they will brake his ribs. To sum it up he is having dimentia and has been retaining urine and constipation , he sees his deceased brothers and seeing a light. He bounces back and forth. He's so upset with us he can't walk , he aggressive and aggitated. He is begging God to take him.
I had a NDE in ER while having cardiac arrest. It was nine years ago and when i think of it, it seems as if it happened very recently. I was rushed to the ER, I was met by a nurse who was taking care of me and then i flat-lined just minutes after arriving. I rose above my body and watched three more people attend to me one of which was a doctor. But then I seemed to be guided away by someone or something. I had this enormous sense of peace and comfort take over. I then was led which appeared to be a tunnel or cave with candles or dim lights on the walls. Around a bend I then saw six dark robed shapes with hoods conferring and seemed to be looking in my direction about 20 – 30 feet away. I could not see faces, just shapes. My guide who I sensed but did not see, continually comforted me and told me I was going to be okay. About this time the group of six moved on ahead. The strong feeling of peace and warmth continued and I lost sight of the group going ahead. I was guided back to where it began and then all of a sudden I was brought back to consciousness again and I recalled seeing the three nurses and doctor with very stressful looks on their faces. But here's the kicker … my original nurse told me i was ok, that I had left for awhile but I'm back and going to be ok. My family will be able to see me shortly before boarding a chopper for a flight to our region's heart hospital. Then he called me by name and said we will meet on a date he mentioned for a beer. I thought then realized that date is my birthday. He said, it's my birthday too brother! We met for that beer and have bonded forever.
