  1. Hi David, welcome. Thank you for sharing your childhood fear of death and the struggles of addiction. God has a way of talking to us with a great sense of intimacy of our life experience. The twelve steps to sobriety #2 Came to believe that a Power greater than us could restore us to sanity. I think that God knew your struggles and wanted to provide you peace by providing you a choice – it's beautiful because either way you chose to go – he was going to take away that fear of death to help with your sobriety. Now you are sending a message to the public about finding that inner peace through meditation to bring yourself to a higher sense of consciousness. Shows how God works through us. That is a truly a blessing. Again, Thank you. Mary Jo Ps. I had an NDE at 5 – never had the chance to fear death – my story is posted here. 🙂

  2. I just wish whatever those beings are would intervene once in a while and have sit down meetings or communicate with us. You can keep free will and still receive guidance

  3. We have to choose life, pick up our bed and walk forward carrying it. For it is a responsibility that's been given to us as a gift from heaven and as long as we recognise, accept and appreciate it for what it really is, it will go on revealing to our conscious awareness, whatever is needed for the next phase of our progress! Thank you for sharing your story 🎶🙏🏻💖

  4. First, l would like to say that you are a lovely, gentle soul. And, that their is definitely a life after death. I had an NDE. We are loved and cared for, and prayers are heard. Bless you. ❤

  5. That prayer used to scare the hell out of me as a child. It’s sick to put children to bed with that creepy thought in their minds. It sounds like a remnant from our European ancestry, the same cultures that created the original dark and horrifying Grimm’s fairytales.

  6. Poor boy was too intelligent for his own good. We said the same prayer when I was a child, only instead of hearing, "If I should die before I wake," I heard, "Ifishadie before I wake." Turns out my ADHD saved me a lot of childhood anxiety.

  7. Happened to me at 12. A debilitating fear of death coupled with depression. Lasted about a year. But I've struggled with my mortality since. I am a believer but my own weakness and doubt still impact me from time to time.

  8. wow, the way you talked about yourself at 5, you could have been talking about me. My fear of death started about the same time. Not because of a prayer, but because it was then that I learned my mother had died 8 weeks after I was born. It morphed into a fear that I would have a short life like she did. She was 26 when she died. I had convinced myself first that I would die at 13, half her age. Then when that didn’t happen I focused on 26. I’m here at 56. But i still struggle with the fear everyday. I listen to videos like this to help me fall asleep without the fear. I’ve often wished for an NDE. I so want what those people have, a knowing. I try desperately to lean on my faith, but the fear is always in the background. Thank you for sharing your story.

  9. I also had an expansion of spirit experience, although I didn't leave my body. I was having a bad day, everything was going wrong, I was pissed off so I went to go sit in the garden to cool off, as I was sitting I started to feel what I think is my soul expand and it got bigger and bigger until it was the size of the two story house I was staying in. I was still looking out through my physical eyes, but I felt expansive, then this peace washed over me and everything I was stressing and angry about just melted away and I just say there at peace with not a concern in the world and calmly watched the insects walking around the garden, then after about 5 min I felt my spirit start to contract and it shrunk in size until it was normal size again and the stress came back to an extent, but I was calmer after that.

  10. Thanks so much for sharing your journey’s twists, turns, and hard won revelations – I can relate.

🧘 . . . meditation for me = visualizing my self as an 👂🏻- its only function is to listen. . . not for anything, or to anything . . . just open-ended listening . . . slowly but surely letting go of little ‘me’ projections, agendas, and fear of disillusion. No seeking, no defining, no reacting till silence, fullness appears, allowing the monkey-mind to chatter onward till it fades for lack of attention.

I’m now 78 soon to turn 79. Throughout my life I’ve composed and performed/recorded my songs. Waaaay back in my 30’s somewhere I wrote a song called Mr Monkey. I’d like to share the very simple lyrics with you here.

    Mr Monkey 🐒
There’s a monkey on my back
He won’t give me no slack
    He goes chatter-chatter
    Give me banana!

There’s a monkey in my brain
    I think he’s quite insane
    He goes chatter-chatter
    Give me banana

Ohh no Mr Monkey you must go!
    Ohhhh no Mr Monkey!

    Mr Monkey lives apart
He’s always sitting on my heart
    With his chatter-chatter
    Give me banana!

Even even when my day is done
    Mr. monkey has just begun
    With his chatter-chatter
    Give me banana!

Ohh no Mr Monkey you must go!
    Ohh no Mr Monkey!

    Mr Monkey who are you?
Who do ya think yer talkin to?
    With yer chatter-chatter
    Give me banana!

Sometimes I think that you’re my friend
But then I see I’ve been tricked again!
    With yer chatter-chatter
    Give me banana banana!

Ohh no Mr Monkey you must go!
    Ohh no Mr Monkey 🐒‼️

    Namaste,

  11. I'm sorry about this guy's troubles. I'm 69 and I've been afraid of death but it hasn't been extreme, but it probably has led me to forfeit certain things in my life. I'm not afraid, too much, anymore, but I'm still scared how it will feel and will I be alone and scared. I don't like to feel weird, and I don't drink, smoke, do drugs, anything for that reason. I'm alone now, but I'm comfortable with my surroundings. As for this fear, too bad it wasn't handled at 5, before it got out of hand. Can't go back, I know that.

  12. Listening to you was like reliving my childhood and into my teens and on into adulthood. Much to think about now…you have inspired me so. I feel like I was totally guided to this video, just what I needed to hear without knowing I needed to hear it. Thank you for putting your story out there.
