Ilove classic movies …. I wish you colorize it all..! thank you .!!
TRIVIA: This film's story is based on a novel by Emile Zola, one of the most famous French novelists.
GOOGLE AI: "The 1954 film Human Desire is based on the Émile Zola novel La Bête humaine.
Directed by Fritz Lang and starring Glenn Ford and Gloria Grahame, the American film noir adapts the 1890 French novel by transposing its themes of murder, jealousy, and violent passion from French railway workers to a post-Korean War setting in the United States.
La Bête humaine had been adapted into a film before. Jean Renoir directed a French version of the same name in 1938. "
La Bête humaine translates from French as "The Human Beast" or "The Beast Within". It is the title of a novel by Émile Zola and a film adaptation of that novel, both of which explore the innate, violent, and instinctual aspects of human nature, and how they are influenced by heredity and social conditions.
Good movie!
Merci 👍
Love old movies
Train Ride to SIMP City….All Aboard ….Can't believe how gullible some men can be, and fall for everything some woman tells him ,behind the phony tears of nothing but self pity .She's on the move for a new man ,with a job, and wants to make sure that you are staying on her train to SIMP City. Toot Toot 😘 you Fool.
It’s funny! First the train is out west then suddenly it’s in Harper’s Ferry MD, then it’s out west again, and finally it’s near Jersey City! I can see the Pulaski Skyway! 😂
He was operating a GM F-Unit going by Santa Fe wig wag signal and when he pulled into the station he was operating an Alco Diesel!
Uncle Joe looks like he just came off a steam locomotive run!
The engineer and fireman should know better then to walk in front of an operating locomotive!
When Ford was driving the train with Crawford the engine had six axles then when it pulled in it had 4 axles🤣
1:01:33 clearly shows a ALCO FA
1:01:45 clearly is a mock-up of a EMD E/F Unit cab.
I’m loosing it with the inconsistencies in these movies directed by guys who don’t know ALCO from EMD products! 😂
The novel by Zola becomes a classic American film noir, and a good one (Lang helps)… but no more Zola.
I saw this movie 2years back. Watching it again. Fritz lang movies are always great
Great movie! I could watch it over and over. Everyone played there parts great.
It is so sad. It is so sad when there is a neighbor, a city and state that compromises themselves through other cities and states and even through badges to make deals like they do just so they can keep being the abuser as well as a bully to abuse someone that they have been abusing for yearsand months to the point where they try to cause discomfort to the flash into the soul and every which way, but the lights will be turned on, and they will stay on for all eyes to see the abuser of domestic violence Working with exs and other people to keep the lies going there always trying something different
Classic movie..
The best roles I've ever seen Ford, or Broderick in😲!!! Let alone a good cast also, to be accompanied with.
"It's much better to have good looks than brains … because most of the men I know can see much better than they can think." 😂🤣🤭 Vickie's blonde friend had the best lines in the movie.
This is the third time I watched I this film and it just seems to get better. It really has superb acting and tension….and Ford goes from mild mannered gentleman to potential fall guy for the poisonous blonde in a dramatic and realistic way. Gloria Graham is one hell of a siren and Crawford shows some of better acting ability here as well. The ending is somewhat unsettling and a real surprise for first time watchers! A++++ five stars!
