  1. sometimes you are so dead inside, the only feeling you get is melancholy, the other feelings you get are just so gruesome, painful, dreadful.
My experience with depression wasn't pleasant, it made anything that wasn't inmediate pain a relief.

  2. For me, rather than wanting to be sad, I'm afraid to be happy.

It's just, I always think that I'll forget something when I'm happy, like forget how to treat other kindly or something like that.

Maybe it's just me overthinking, but still, I can't deny the fact that I tend to do stupid things when I'm happy.

  3. I've suffered a lot of loss, I've coped with a lot of different way through the decades. I lost a friend this morning and this video ends up in my "for you" feed. It's exactly what I needed, thank you.

  4. I felt as though I was suffocated in my inability to be satisfied with my existence, except for when I fantasised about cutting myself in vivid detail. I felt comfortable and deserving of pain, hungry for it even. To this day such moments will be the most profound, because they are the most raw and painful. Which made makes them beautiful in a way I will never comprehend, or more honestly don’t want to.

  5. And then he played Signalis music.
My attention span has worsened. I feel the need to fill every second with something to do, to find another video when I’m bored, look through comments, anything but productivity, however, I stayed. Because I wanted to know what was it that I was dying to search through my ways of “sadness”, my way of “mourning”. Your video is so fully of knowledge and great explanation.
    Thank you

  6. This is hard to explain. I don’t have depression or anything but I would daydream me suffering or being bullied. I believe this happened because it would give me… a sense of my self a way to be better. And a way to be interesting

  7. I would just like to say, that this is the best YouTube video I have ever seen, I have rewatched it again and again, and it never ceases to impress. Thank you, thank you so much for making this.

  8. I've been taking antidepressants for my depression and insomnia for 6 years and I honestly can't remember what being happy feels like. I know sadness, longing and loneliness, but I don't know what love, joy or hopeful feels like. I crave to feel positive. I want to know what it is to experience it.

I don't know what it means to love someone. I do not care about people, even though I know I should. My dad has been in the hospital for 3 weeks with liver and gallbladder failure, yet I just do not care. I'm not suppressing anything. I want to know how it feels to care. I know I should love them but I just don't feel anything. I honestly could not care what happens to anyone that I know I should love.

I'm 22 and I am physically healthy. I'm not neglecting my health. I do what I know I have to because I don't want my future self to feel disappointed or regret. I don't want to get up every day and go to college, I don't want to drink water, eat healthy and exercise but I know I have to. If I don't then my body will fail.

  9. The way it’s perceived the way it’s romanticized concerned that care from others. I could stay up, be afraid and find something to overwhelm myself with, go to school tomorrow and be asked if I’m tired and ok. Or I could just go to bed and have a good day tomorrow. It’s weird how we wish for this worry
