Desire is the deal with the devil, just when the deal is done you realise, its not what you signed up for.
Am I greedy because I want to hear more about Buddhism?
Today i learn. Wanting is suffering. I feel now better because i dont want
When it comes to 'greed' then mentioning the buzz words of the day – 'sustainability' and 'climate change' these are precisely what delusion/ignorance and greed is. That being an attempt to exert control over human beings – physical control and the end of privacy – e.g. freedom of movement and surveillance and financial control – e.g. taxes and high energy bills. Basically the whole thing is a political movement that does not fit the wisdom in buddhist teachings. (IMO)
Apostle Paul equates covetousness with idolatry in Colossians 3:5. Covetousness = Greed. The Bible teaches how to deal with suffering. The universal antidote is to stop desire. Or stop wanting anything more than food and clothing. 1 Timothy 6:8 And having food and raiment let us be therewith content. 9 But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare and into many foolish and hurtful lusts.
Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!Thank you so much for the explanation. The best illustration of greed and how to reduce it. Very inspiring indeed 🙏🙏🙏
All 3 Conditions must be present for Suffering to occur:
1. Desire
2. Attachment
3. Unsatisfaction

The fact that your self changes doesn´t mean you don´t have a self. See, your blood is fully renewd each 4 weeks, but that doens´t mean your blood doesn´t exist, right? The same is true for your self!
🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Wanting more
Just what I needed to know
Thank you 🙏
real suffering is through illness and pain. psychological suffering through greed is pathetic

Great Explanation. I fully agree with the explanation, because this is the reason for all wars, fights & hatred. I am a Sri Lankan mother, who takes every effort to implement & understand the truth of Life. Thanks for this valuable Video.
Thanks for this great content! I just need to point out that the Buddha didn't say "what you think, you become. what you feel, you attract. what you imagine, you create". That sounds like a new age/law of attraction paraphrase and not Buddha's real teachings.
Thank you ❤
This is the best video on the teaching Buddha. It covers everything you need to know . I first started looking at Buddhism 25 yrs ago. Since then I have noticed it has taken many years for my mind to process it and understand it. This video is easy for me to understand but I know that someone new to this teaching would find it very difficult to grasp it. Example when I was very young .The very first time I saw a book on Buddhism in a library I opened its page and it said a person has to give up desires . I thought to myself that's ridiculous and put the book back lol 😂.It took another 20 yrs before I was ready to look at it again.
