  1. Did exactly this and met the Knowledge of God but I still feel of Him as a force. Where is the personality? Why hasn't my Lord met me personally yet? Why do I still feel broken and missing something?

  2. How can you will yourself into pretending something is true when you really don't believe it? Sure, in conversation with someone I can pretend, but then I'm just kind of tricking them or not saying anything just to let them believe, just so I don't create some stupid situation. If, say, my friend has a very opinionated opinion, I might not say anything and kind of confirm the idea that I share their sentiments, or I might just, so I'm not an asshole, essentially a rude asshole that wants to argue for the sake of argument.

It's different if it's just on your own core values. I'm only lying to myself, I only have to accept that lie myself. How do you ever rationalize that?

  3. Pretending to yourself is hard. There’s a moral side to not continuing to deceive yourself though. It isn’t noble to lie to yourself & others & pretend that’s ok because it’s a ‘struggle’ to ignore everyone & everything telling you you are wrong.

  4. True is what YOU define to be true – but eventually u realize that true – is unitary value and it can be only one in the universe and you must align ur truths with the laws of physics otherwise u perish.

  5. My mom was from a non-believing household. You cannot tell me it is not believable and that we are just brainwashed. Yes, you have to suspend your society's moral values but honestly I would hope to live the way I live if I were not a Christian. I don't drink alcohol, cuss, I do not sleep with people I am not married to, I try to be considerate of others and repent when I fail, try not to lie even to myself, I do not believe in divorce and pray for forgiveness and healing. I try to live through the holy spirit: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness and self control. I am kind to non-believers and try my best not to lashout when people harm me. If your only criticism of Christianity is the "mythology" and the topic of homosexuality which I think is most modern people's objections, then you do not understand what Christianity is about. Yes, I believe Jesus rose, but that to me is a proof his teachings are true not the other way around. Is homosexuality a sin? Yes, if you think of sin as its definition to God. "missing the mark" is what sin means. God is humanized compassionate laws of nature and evolution in many ways. If evolution tells us everything is about reproducing, then why would it be a surprise that something that could instantly end your line be a sin in God's eyes? It actually is self explanatory in science and since the first commandment in the Old Testament is to multiply, makes perfect since God would say it is a sin. You have to follow God only if you are a Christian not if you are an unbeliever. I understand people hating christians for homosexuality being a sin, but honestly you tell your parents that their genetic line ends with you as an only child in a non-Christian home and you lie to yourself that they are okay with it? You lie to yourself. I know people who this is the case for them and they talk about it and do wish you would change and have children behind your back.

  6. If god were to exist and wanted to spread the knowledge about his existence and influence on the world, he would have made debating the existence of god as strenuous as debating the existence of gravity.

  7. I like filling myself with words of hope, the Bible is a guide on how to do just that. Sometimes you have to deny yourself to keep those words of hope in you alive.

I read a story of a man who spent his whole life doing that, to the point where death itself couldn’t kill his hope. And that man was Jesus.

    God bless you

  8. The Bible promises that those who seek God with all their heart will find Him (Jeremiah 29:13), but "searching" is not just about intellectual effort—it is about the intent of the heart. Many fail to find Him because they seek a feeling or a sign while refusing to submit to Him as Lord, effectively blinding themselves through pride. Furthermore, the Fall has corrupted human nature, and Scripture confirms that the "god of this world" has blinded the minds of unbelievers (2 Corinthians 4:4).
However, God is not truly "hidden"; He has clearly revealed Himself through creation (Romans 1:20) and His Word. If someone ignores the evidence already provided and demands God appear on their own selfish terms, they are testing Him rather than seeking Him. Ultimately, God is a perfect judge of the heart (Proverbs 21:2) and is fundamentally just. If a soul truly, honestly, and selflessly sought Him but was somehow prevented by forces outside their control, a righteous God would not punish them for a failure that wasn't theirs. People are separated from Him because they "loved darkness rather than light" (John 3:19), not by accident or because they weren't "lucky" enough to find Him. While social conditioning and a fallen world make sin seem like an easy, "default" path, God is a perfectly just judge who accounts for what each person was given (Luke 12:48). He does not judge blindly; He sees the heart and knows when a person is a victim of their environment versus a willing participant in rebellion. However, because God is perfectly holy, even "unintentional" sin creates a separation that only His grace can bridge. This is why Jesus is the only way; He doesn't just judge us on fairness—He offers mercy to anyone, regardless of their background, who realizes they cannot save themselves.

  9. This is why even atheists, who suddenly are aboit die,
    Trauma
    Car accident
Extreme fear their life is about to end, who do they scream out for ?
    Darwin?!!?!?!
    No
    God
Because we all know the truth deep down

  10. Study the bible like there is truth you only do not understand now, thats a honest approach, because if the bible is true, I think this statement is also true.
Saw some video, it was about humbling yourself/oneself because there is so much to understand in this book, onself is not going to understand this much this quick.
If you want the premisse and the hope to be true, I think someday you can find it.. you will, he isnt letting them/us down, he wants to connect, but in his own plan.

  11. No, it just seems like your mind's made up and your heart. Just can't be open and that's the very reason. God won't reveal himself to you…. The Bible speaks about Child like faith… We're not all making it up in our head, …. People see miracles every day.

  12. What in the world… This is me, I prayed for this. I'm intelectually convinced, but the heart doesn't follow, I'm the only one like a stone during worship, lectures, sermons, etc.

  13. I definitely believe in Christ as the Son of God and Lord of all, and as the propitiation for my sins and for the sins of the world.

But i struggle. Just not really in the way this video implies.

Faith in Christ is a struggle- it takes a lot BECAUSE we are so full of presuppositions and desires that run contrary to what following Christ and living how He says to live.
It’s a hard thing to trust words on a page. But to the one who is a Christian already and to the one who wants to give it a chance, your faith is in a divine person. Jesus. And a Father in God who loves you unreservedly and will never let you down and is true to His word always. The Bible helps you know Him. It bears testimony TO Him.

It’s a struggle because the relationship has to grow. Same way you didn’t trust your best mate the same way the first time you ever met them, as you do now.

It’s also a struggle because through the process of God being faithful there’s always ‘Was that really what happened?’ Objections arising in your brain.

It’s hard to trust a God you cannot see. Especially when He requires your entire life of you. But man let me tell you it’s worth every second. Because He’s worth every second.

  14. A lot of the comments are clearly misunderstanding the statement Faith itself is a struggle, not a struggle in the sense that you lack the belief that God is real, but rather you struggle with the fact that he is God that he is good that he is everything that he says he is that is the struggle of Faith at the end of the day we know he’s real

  15. Oddly enough, I never read anywhere that God wants you to study and reason your way into his presence or obsessive openess or "fake it till you make it". Surrender – surrender your idols – surrender your justice for his grace – surrender to the fact he loves you.

  16. No it is not about a long struggle or intelectual gymnastics. Its about leaving the struggles behind entirely because its not a thing we acheuve but its a thing we do because we want to be good. Wanting to be good is all it is. He sees the desire. It grows. We become good because we esrnestly want to be. That is a prayer

  17. It is one big cope. That’s one thing that really gets me. I’ve been baptised orthodox for 6 years and I still feel I’m just absolutely coping and larping

  18. Jesus is God. I've seen His face. He had one eye of mercy and one eye of judgement. Its really Jesus Christ. I really can't stand alex occonnor. I could never ever relate to someone like that…. I am on the totally opposite spectrum.. like the exact opposing side of the spectrum. As hard of an atheist Alex occonnor is… That's exactly how I feel about what I've seen. We'd end up in some toss up. Neither would omit nneither would agree. Totally opposing sides. These arguments aren't doing it for you because your brain has been melted bybreally lazy badly done modern philosophy. True life experience proves them ALL WRONG

  19. He's the kind of guy who's sat in his room on his computer reading of files of books and has zero life experience. Is too afraid to actually get into anything…. Imprisoned.. boxed in by his hyper analytical logic… Id image that's what genuine death is like .. zero spark of the soul. Totally unplugged from the self with no ability to find your footing in this wave of consciousness. Fuck you Alex. You're pompous

  20. We probably know what ~25%? of the total science of the universe, but somehow you're willing to believe in that limited evidence enough to claim that God doesn't exists? You act like you have 100% of the scientific evidence, that seems like a big cope.

  21. I struggle with faith every single day, but in full honesty the only thing keeping me alive is faith that one day I will find him. What if he is true and we die not believing in him
