I do not put Christianity in same category as man made spiritual organizations. For me Christianity is a Reality. Christ started the Church.
I'm neither spiritual or religious.
3 scriptures. "He who believes in Me shall not be stumbling in the darkness for the Light of Life will FLOOD his path", St.Paul said the SPIRIT will tell you where to GO and what to DO, and, "in all your ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct your paths". Sounds like God likes giving pretty specific directions to me. AND rightly so for we simply can't know and He DOES!!!

The ability to choose is an illusion. One is either folloWing God or she is on the other team … it is automatic. People do not have the power to choose one or the other.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, the problem is NOT in being “religious,” it’s in being “legalistic.” To be “religious” and to be “legalistic” do not mean the same thing. People often say “religious” people crucified Jesus. That’s FALSE! Politicking legalistic people were the ones who did that. This false equivocation between “religious” and “legalistic” really needs to stop. Pr. Wolfmueller is perfectly correct, it’s a trap.

Another GREAT message Pastor!! On a topic response I've heard a lot of while witnessing to others. Another bad response from people on the beaches and streets is the NONES or they say the convenient "I'm Agnostic" which can be turned around takes a lot of shooting holes in the Darwin theories. Another one I hear is "I'm a GOOD PERSON God won't send me to hell, God is Love".
I never understood this. If you believe in God, then why are you not doing something about it.

Christianity, with its rules and punishments is not very palatable compared to spirituality, or raising of consciousness.
It means that i believe in God but i do not believe all the dogmas im the churches
Some people do this for the exact opposite reason.
You made some very interesting points but you're not objective enough. There's no "game" or "goal" behind being spiritual like being sinister.
Spirituality is an experience. It is highly personal. Scripture is a product of man's knowledge and the experiences they had is what's written in the so called holy books. Why should I let someone's else experience be mine or guide mine? Why not have my own experience?
If I believe in a higher power must it have a name? Should it concern anyone else? When we came into the world we had no name. Name is an invention of man, same with literatures and religions and medicine, etc, from what is inside us: our spirituality.
Being spiritual doesn't mean I have no ethics or principles. It doesn't mean I lack accountability for my actions. Rather, it means that I live by the general, universal, unchanging principles that holds true every where in the world – mutual respect, empathy, kindness, tolerance – not done religious rituals or texts or dogmas that are ever changing, and not applicable everywhere, and constantly creating divisions and conflicts!
Excuse me, if you find your spirituality in a religion, good for you. But don't try to define or judge people who find theirs outside religion. That is not empathy and it doesn't encompasses mutual respect.
I'm spiritual and not religious means that you go straight to God and nature and you avoid religion because religion is man made , if you go to church you'll have a bunch of people preaching to you and telling you how things are when they don't know because they're only humans , they're not God.
Therefore i deal with God directly
I am spiritual and I believe in the teachings of Christ. Religion is man made after personal interpretesions of scripture. Once all these churches agree on one way then call me and we can discuss it. I got a bible and I can read… I follow Christ not what some church fathers thought God told them.
You need to be like us to know what it mean we MMORPG real life!
