Matthew Perry is sharing his story. The “Friends” alum is telling it all in his new memoir “Friends, Lovers and the Big Terrible Thing,” which details his battle with addiction. During an interview with People Magazine, Matthew recalled facing a near-death experience from opioid overdose.

That’s right. I was a cardiac intervention nurse. Going on an ECMO machine is a last ditch effort that most people don’t come back from.

Too many people around Matthew that were not looking after Matthew‘s best interest. It sounds to me that Matthew needed to be protected from himself. Many of them have blood on their hands. Who knows when his addictions began but I remember about 22 years ago. He was in trouble with addiction back then and some of his actions were extremely dangerous. It’s just so sad. He could’ve beat this thing. He could’ve fallen in love and had his own family. He brought us all so much joy. It’s such a shame. It was very little joy in his own life. Peace be with you, Matthew.
Who cares about this guy. I heard he treated the extras on Friends like trash because he was so above everyday people. He was a complete ass but since he died people act like he was the greatest thing that walked the earth. 🙄
