I sometimes wonder about this, but now I am concerned about how people with different beliefs just argue every time, especially on the internet. Somehow, it looks saddening to me. I thought we could all just learn from each other to understand many more things without intervening or hating the other's perspective. But even though I commented this, the arguments will always continue with everyone always "My beliefs is the best," whether it's religious or non religious. I just want to learn more with no debate 🙁
People say the world is so much worse nowadays, but go back to the dark ages the middle ages go back and Nazi Germany like I hate when people complain and say nowadays is worse, but you guys have everything and you guys are complaining
These numbers are bullshit. You’re saying that religious people are a percentage of the total population. You’re trying to assume that say 10 percent of some population was a saint. You’re saying if the percentage is constant if the number of people goes up. Or more people means more people go to heaven. That’s the belief of someone who fails math. I don’t know if you have to be intelligent for religion.
I don’t know but I know I don’t care what other people do. My brother told me that he would have passed his classes but the other people would mess around. I don’t study with other people. The reason is the further you get in engineering there is no one else. It’s only 1 percent of the world and no one will have time to hold you by the hand.
It’s like if your Picasso you can’t pay someone else to do your work. You’re at a point where your skill level is yours alone. He can’t work as a team. He can’t skip work and have someone do it for him.
Religion would be like that. Jesus could t get someone to tag in for him. He can’t be tag team Jesus. Religion is individual. It individual confession and prayer and fasting. Teamwork doesn’t make the religion work.
because facts and logic are readily available and taught. simple reasoning leads to christianity and all other religions being illogical and flawed, and best part is you won’t be punished for thinking that way 👍, a particularly new age thing.
In 2024, an estimated 85% of the world's population identify with a religion. This means that more than 8 billion people around the world are religious.
I think one thing that people forget about religion is that it often provides people with a sense of community and belonging. Can you get that elsewhere? Of course! However, it's proving to be a bit difficult for a growing number of people.
It’s because religious people have a major sociological malfunction in turn has given religion it self a horrible reputation, on the other hand being spiritual will always play a significant role. The misconception is that many think the two are the same, sadly they are not.
People are waking up to how manipulative and hypocritical these religions are. It's no longer a death sentence to be an atheist, it's not longer suicide to be gay (mostly).
One of the only real reasons they're still s so predominant is because children are indoctrinated at birth into these religions and then deeply shamed if they try and leave it. There are of course outliers and exceptions, but they are exactly that. When I held the Christian belief, I was a very hateful and ugly person towards a particular type of people for no other reason than the fact that all the other Christians around me said that they're abominable unforgivable sinners…..for wanting to love who they choose….yeah.
It took me years to realize how manipulative and hate filled the church was and for me to accept the fact that I'm gay. And now I know that, because I simply prefer guys over women, people genuinely think I deserve to burn in hell. These institutions are declining and that's honestly a good thing, we need to progress beyond the point of believing books written 2,000 years ago by at the time were literal cultists.
People are not becoming”less traditionally religious”. Less people now believe in God. Typical religious person spinning a few words to try and keep religion relevant
People who are suffering look for relief. Weak people look for a crutch. Lost people look for meaning. Hateful people look for a reason to justify their hate. Religion is a tool. Everyone uses it how they need it.

I believe in a different concept of god,I believe that you should appreciate your partner the same as you would to a god,if we treated each other with the same respect as we do god we would be way better in life, the concept of god is dangerous because of narcissists but it’s also good in how it teaches us what respect is and how we behave.
I find myself trying to fully understand what each religion meant in their history in which we know about them. Reading the Bible, Quran, and other Holy books. But more importantly, trimming down the impossible dynamics of each, finding the common denominator between them all, – and drawing comparison to my experience of “living.” I feel that many people dismiss their own experience a bit too much when examining the texts/experiences of those before them.
By asking yourself, “well can I do this?”, or “do I believe any human being could achieve this, even the most skilled of them all?” By asking legitimate questions, and believing yourself when answering, you eliminate aspects of religion that simply should not exist. There’s always balance needed, for everything. Science tends to be the balance for religion, as it expresses the limitations of our everyday circumstances, but also can extend our opportunities if we can shed the necessary limitation that is in the way. You have to figure out what grounded balance means in relation to you. View self as an objective subject; here’s where I grew up, people from there tend to believe in this, believe these kind of people are that. My dad was a blank, his parents were blanks, that likely led me to become a blank or led me away from it. That kind of logic, applied everywhere in your life. That’s how you create balance within.
Good luck! 🤎 Take your time. Life begins when yours (who you think you are) ends. Those around you are on the same journey as you, trying to gain an understanding of what this life is. Don’t be afraid to see it for yourself, gain some pals along the way, and just keep swimming. Even when you can’t see. You’ll find some clarity again, life is evolution – meaning that you are in a constant causal and effect relationship of growth. Never forget that.
Once peace is made with that, simultaneously with the maintenance of a strong curiosity and joy for things, you’ve done it.
Religion is how people sought validation before social media existed
Organized religion exists as a tool of social control over the masses by the most elite. Grow up and quit pushing your poison onto others.
Yu min sounds like a nice lady

Existentialism in humanity

THE AGE OF RELIGION IS OVER
To control the masses
Yeah religion is outdated and irrelevant in the modern world.
I’m glad religion is losing control over people people like me are fed up with it we’re tired of being told how to behave and act it’s ridiculous.
People are not becoming”less traditionally religious”. Less people now believe in God. Typical religious person spinning a few words to try and keep religion relevant

Why to seek meaning when you can create one yourself

A decline in church attendance is obviously part of god's plan. He has a plan that can't be changed, right??
You dare question this part of god's plan??!!
More accurately, organised religion is in decline

Religion only complicates mortality, which is common sense
Idolizing pop stars and politicians, shit like that, pretty much.
What is being experienced now is far better educated people who have no need to follow fables from the bronze age.
And know it's all made up nonsense.
