the best way to do this is through the Theseus Method or Moravec Transfer. a hypothetical way to transfer consciousness digitally with you still keeping your stream of consciousness intact without making an entirely different upload of your brain. I love entertaining this idea because imagine the benefits we would reap from such technology if it were ever to exist.
Can You Upload Your Mind & Live Forever?

1) It is not YOUR anything, much less 'thoughts/concepts'.
You perceive thought just like you perceive anything else 'in front of you'.
2) You have nothing to 'upload'.
All that you know in the entirety of any moment is that which you are perceiving at that moment. You do not store memory, there is no facility nor need.
3) 'Forever' doesn't exist because it cannot be perceived! Only that which is perceived, exists. 'Time' ONLY exists in the Hellish delusions of the unSaved/unEnlightened!

Guess what? A digital facsimile of your brain, even if that is actually the source of the mind, will still be just a copy. So when you decide to "go online" and kill your physical body, you'll still be dead. And essentially your digital copy will be a character in a far more sophisticated type of video game or games. The idea of using your digital copy to have experiences you can't have, if you could somehow plug yourself in with your physical body so those sensations experienced by the digital self is felt in your body would be interesting. But we're already advancing towards that experi nice with various immersive world and VR tech.

Transferring is copying, and your copy will feel like U, but it will not be U as U.
The sci-fi TV comedy "Upload" covered this very topic across 4 seasons and 29 episodes, with the show finishing this year (2025). One interesting aspect was that originally the inventor of the tech wanted it to be free for all, but a big company came in and stole the idea, charging for everything and even freezing the virtual person if their credits ran out. Uploading was gruesome though – apparently their head had to be sliced off!
They also had the concept of downloading the virtual mind back into a lab grown duplicate body (and yes, a fair chunk of the show had both the virtual and physical versions existing at the same time). It was a fun watch, though they did rush the final season (only 4 episodes and all dumped on the same day).
Maybe it will be possible to transfer if you capture everything from a newborn 24/7 then when it gets to 80 years old the computer will have an exact copy of their whole life

The way the brain operates is unique enough for every human being that the way it is expressed is, to us, what makes you you. Every part of the brain working together as it does is the only reason there is such a thing as “you” in a way that we don’t yet understand
